love the format of this, you're a great host as well. just an unsolicited opinion - possibly the TENSION gimmick would feel stronger if the deduction was more? i dunno, i think the game is pretty well balanced, but losing 5 for one in the danger zone and 3 for any other random wrong answer feels like too close together. then again, if the tension ones were more dangerous, it might overly incentivise going for a safer answer? god knows. to be honest, i'd be tempted to just do away with the tension thing entirely, and just have any incorrect answer be -3 or something, but considering that's literally the name ...:D
Thanks for the feedback, I’ve played the game with friends for about 4 years now and have toyed with all sorts of combinations of scoring to try to make it as competitive as possible. The jeopardy of crossing into the tension line is essentially what the game is about. Should someone take a lead, they can’t just give a wrong answer for a few question, they can olay “safe” but need to be correct, those that need to gamble have the jeopardy too. In previous quizzes I’ve also done triple point questions depending on the subject, as well as Top 20 for guessing, where answers go to 20, but the incorrect and Tensions are double. It’s still very much a work in progress and I appreciate any feedback, tweaks will be made on future content for sure!
