Eagles flight projection on hole 4 was awesome and with jet noise in the background made it perfect.
Very convenient designing a course on a golf course. Marking tees with paint, using the existing pavement, placing the baskets wherever you want, near trees or O.B. cart paths... There is a multitude of options. I've seen greens used as O.B. in some tourneys. Fun course for these bombers. Wish I was 25 or 30 again... ;-)
R Herbert i love that golf courses are allowing disc golfers on the course and putting in permanent courses, but not that big a fan of playing them , minus the carts and service
The first GBO I played 1as 2011. The players meeting was at Jones in front of the RV, the country club was being used for the first time ever but only in a temp form and we had a record breaking 200 players. What an insane growth in 7 years.

Nick Henas 100% agree , it also seems like big tourneys are moving to them, prob cause of growth but feel like your losing all the character of the course, its also not as entertaining to watch imo, love watching the wooded courses. Appreciate the content tho.

Just a friendly dig on Big J... 13:30 Jeremy starts talking about how baskets should catch crappy putts, ha ha. The "tone pole" object is one theory... but the concept that you're throwing a shot that an average player should be able to catch is another. Also compare to ball golf -- nobody can putt that hard and hope the ball won't skip over the hole or hit the back rim and kick out. I wish the putting in the game rewarded more finesse over power, regardless of how precise that power might be developed.
He's probably wrong. Best to bet on that. Thanks for the content

I agree with Big Jerm: poles are better than chains. The chains create lame spitouts that have nothing to do with skill everything to do with bad luck.. hence the reason they have to keep making better baskets. Would not mind seeing an all pole target course at all. The course I learned how to play at called Shale City at Grizzly Peak in Oregon was a tome target course and always preferred it.

Daniel Rodriguez I agree wholeheartedly. You have to have a deft touch. It's part of the game. If you slam your disc into the chains 45mph and you're 20 feet out, it may spit out.
Don't get me wrong, I love the sound of the chains and find them very satisfying to an extent. However, the thing that gets me is that basket construction can cause strokes in your game, which can legitimately hurt you in a tournament. The reason they have to keep making new versions of baskets is because the constructions are imperfect, thus by definition causing imperfections in putts out of the player's control. That bothers me a lot. Putting is already enough of a mind game.. to add a basket that can deal you some crappy luck at crucial moments sucks.
Chris M takes same skills to put in basket, maybe more then just hitting pole. Pretty sure if game was to hit pole the sport wouldn't be as popular

Gotta say I disagree with Jerm. That putt was way high and left side. 9/10 that putt won’t (and shouldn’t) stay in IMO. Ball golf can skip over or around the cup, basketball can rattle around the rim and bounce out. Same thing with putts like that. Makes contact with the chains, cage, etc but doesn’t stay in.
