Okay, hole 16 is insane!! And did Paul have the worst best round ever or the best worst round ever? It seemed like nothing went his way but he’s still right there with the leaders!
Paul needs to get it together. No OB’s and no close missed putts. I need to see him win!!! I will always be rooting for him and there is nobody else I watch where I say I genuinely want them to win. On McBethless cards I just don’t care who comes out on top, I just see who it is.
Simon just cruises along playing rather dull golf and then comes 16 and the Simon show. Really interesting round though. Ricky had the mo, then Paul took it, then Eagle took it while Simon mostly flew under the radar....then Paul falls back at the end and the other 3 wind up tied. Great stuff, good commentary, good camera work/editing....kudos.
Cwise2 possibly no spotter, group did not saw it so benefit to what affected player things. Little bit sad but this is how the rules work. Unless there will be officials on every hole like in golf these thing will happen
Why Paul McBeth isn't that good anymore? 2016 was a little bit weaker than previous years, 2017 was even more weaker and this year has been pretty much horrible tournament after tournament so far. What has happened? Does he not train as much nowdays or what? Looks like he has gained more weight maybe 20-25 pounds over years, but I don't think that's the reason. Can someone explain?
I wouldn't describe Paul's current performance as "horrible". He isn't winning like he used to, but he's still often ranking very high. Every player can get off sometimes. Also, a lot of other players have greatly improved their game. Ricky kept getting better, and this year looks like real competition will be coming from Simon and Eagle (they've been top 10 for a while, but are starting to win more).
Yeah, you're right. His rating is almost as good as earlier, other players have leveled up. And I meant ''horrible'' by his standards, but still not too bad, I could have used a better word. Maybe the wedding has taken the time out of training and that's understandable and he will probably play better later in this year. He played so damn well whole year 2015, so it's hard to keep up.
His 2015 year is one of the best years ever played IMO. I think he is just "distracted" by starting a household in VA. He is still insanely good and when that laser focus sharpens up he is unstoppable.

It's not necessary except under certain conditions. He says the extra 8" gained is not worth the extra bending over and over to pick up the mini.
