Great double reaction ! Miyako (lead guitarist/pianist at stage left) is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano. She has been classically-trained on the piano since the age of 3. Miyako also composed & arranged "Swan Song" and this track is a neoclassical metal masterpiece. Throughout the song, you can hear motifs from Romantic-era composers Chopin (intro, main riff, solo) and Dvořák (Chorus). Miyako's piano intro is Chopin's "Étude Op. 10, No. 12 in C minor", aka the "Revolutionary Étude". Also, you can see from her stage presence and graceful movements that Asami (lead vocalist) is a trained ballerina.
She isn't. Believe it or not Miyako doesn't even think she is good enough to be one, which is crazy lol. Being classically trained is different than being an actual concert pianist.
Watching Miyako is quite the experience, eh? The amazing thing about her is she's a humbled human being. She would never ask / want you to lay in the mud for her or carry her stuff. Truly the 8th wonder of the musical world and a wonderful human being. 🤘

There is an acoustic version of Rising with Asami, vocals, accompanied on piano by Miyako. It has a totally different feel to the 'rock' version. The version you have just watched is from 2023 with the new bass player, 22 year old Fami Miyako is a classically trained pianist from a very young age.
