Thank you for this amazing look back! I feel nostalgia for an era I was never alive for. THanks for preserving these pieces of history.

Such a shame we’re losing all of these amazing buildings only to be replaced by bland stucco boxes. A night out at a restaurant like this would’ve been a special event! Thanks for sharing, Adrian.👍🗿🧉

I know right? These cool old buildings aren’t so common anymore. Such a bummer.

I remember there was some info about it on Tiki Central. I wish it wasn’t down!

@@arrowheadh2o410 I wonder how long it's been closed. It looks like it's been vacant for a while.

@@davidc250 that's good news! We spoke to a caretaker through the fence when we were there. Was that you?

I recently started working near this building so I see it almost every workday. Sadly it is in a little worse shape that when you filmed this. The neighborhood is a straight zombie village at night and not much better in the day time lots of homeless and drugged out people around. Very sad looks like it was pretty rad at one time. Just down the street a couple hunder yards if that is a Mexican place that has been there since 1951!!! That looks great! Thanks for the great video and history

@@scottgoyette3154 thanks for the update on the area. At the time I filmed this the neighborhood felt a tad rough around the edges but not super sketchy (during the day at least). I can see why it would feel different at night.

Good job! Too bad someone can’t buy the building and turn it into a Tiki Bar.

We were able to talk to a caretaker while we were there. He said the building has been empty for a long time but he's been tasked with maintaining it. Maybe the owner eventually plans to reopen it? Crossing my fingers for something cool in the future.
