Wow! Gary Taylor! One of the very best Music Writers/Producers There is Period! Enjoy the Smooth Sounds! Because trust me there is a lot more where this came from. Happy Sabbath! Everyone & As always Give God!! The Honor Praise & Glory!! Take Care..... Until The next time!🙏🏿🙏🏿✌🏿👩🏾💻👨🏾💻🎈❤️👍🏿✅🙏🏿🙏🏿
Someone suggested this song by Gary Taylor to me. I stumbled across this brother back in the early 1990s with "In & Out Of Love." Also, I was amazed to learned that he wrote and produced "Good Love" by Anita Baker and "Your Heart, My Heart" by the Whispers. A multi-talented brother!
This song used to always come on the radio when I was little. Never knew who was singing, but I loved it. I put "I was blind to it all" on Google and here I am. I miss the sincerity of our music. Too bad it's not cool for a grown ass man to get up and sing anymore.
Mr Taylor is the true king of smooth RnB love songs im glad he is an independent artis hd can make any song he wants his way his truth im still a lover of his music i feel every lyric from his songs
I love love love this song. I searched the internet just to find out this guys name after hearing this song on "the quiet storm" for years. He has such a unique and beautiful voice. I love this song.
Mr. Gary Taylor is so smooth with his style, and the way he puts a song together. The first song that I heard by Gray Taylor was 'Tease Me', but I never heard his name, and this was over 20 yrs ago. Then about 2yrs ago, I heard another song by Gary Taylor, but I didn't know it was Gary. So I looked up the artist because I recognized the voice from years ago, so when I got his name, I went to RUclips and listened to songs off albums ... I have pulled down at least 60 of his songs. The man is a true lyrical genus. Like old school artists like Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, just to name a couple, Gary Taylor will tell you a story, and he'll walk you thru it, from beginning to end... and you "will feel it". I love this man's music... they last forever as does music from artists like Phil Perry, Luther Vandross, Smokey Robinson, Donny Hathaway, and so on. Keep doing what you do, Mr. Gary Taylor; your music, I will follow you. Peace. From Chicago's west side. Rico...
I remember being a teenager in Upstate NY (Buffalo) and calling my girlfriend in Grand Island each night. We were only 20 minutes away from each other by car but it might as well have been Beijing to the two of us. But we'd talk all night and watch Midnight Love on BET where songs like Gary Taylor's 'Blind to it All' and other smooth R+B classics by artists like Brian McKnight, the Isley's, and EWF would serve as the soundtrack to our conversations. That seems like such a magical moment in my life now, I appreciate your music taking me back to those simpler, more innocent moments even just for a few minutes. Thanks, Gary.
Where has this man gone? I would love to see him sing in person; one of the most amazing voices, beautiful lyrics, heartfelt words that run deep, connected to memories of the past. His music is timeless, you can put this on at any time and not be "dated"... Will You Come Back?
First song I heard by Gary Taylor. I kept hearing his song take control on the radio but never could catch his name. I picked up one of his cassettes at a yard sale for $2 and I’ve been hooked ever since!! He also plays sold out concerts love this humble artist!! You go Gary Taylor 🤗❤️
I discovered Gary music back in the day driving to my duty station in Memphis TN back in the early 90s. I remember they played Take Control on the radio during Quiet Storm. My wife and I just got quiet and we both said who is this guy? I made it my mission to get all his music. He's had many incredible albums that has a quiet storm jazzy lovers flow. I find it amazing that so people to this day still have never heard of Gary Taylor. Every person that I've ever played his music around fell in love with his music. He's also produced many artist including the Whispers "My Heart" and Anita Baker's "Good Love".
I discovered Gary Taylor back in '92 about the same time I was blind to it all. This song reminds me how prophetic song lyrics can be.Never take love for granted. Say what you mean,& mean what you say.TRUE LOVE is too precious to risk.
I'm a long time Gary Taylor fan and whenever I turn someone on to how awesome he is this is one the songs that I use to reel them in. Amazing, after all these years this tune sstills touches my heart. Anyone fortunate enough to see this man in concert is truly blessed. Wish I could.
I first heard this song in college, flipping through radio stations. I was mostly listening to hip hop, pop/R&B and rock, so this song stood out when I came across it. It was a simply structured, original and thoughtful take on love when you screw up. I had to listen to the contemporary/adult listening station that played this song about 7 nights in a row before I heard the song and learned the name of the artist. While the song could have benefited from more production (it seem likes its mostly performed with electronic instruments), it's very sparse, but it doesn't take away from the underlying artistry and haunting regret in the song. Like love itself, this song is timeless.
This song reminds me of BET’s Midnight Love. I have so much admiration and respect for this artist. The song’s arrangement and production were on point. A beautiful love song.
I think that year was 1991 when I heard IN & OUT OF LOVE on Urban Radio and I fell in love with this song! I was a student at the California State University at Long Beach.
I have akways loved Gary. I got this cd from the pawn shop. I don't care what he sings. I will buy it, because it' Gary Taylo and a representation on TRUE LOVE.
Props also to MARCUS MILLER, who not only did the music for Eddie Murphy's movie BOOMERANG (and you KNOW that was good), but who also provided the music on this EXCELLENT Gary Taylor track, which is, without a doubt..THE SHIT!
Smooth ride home...not a lot of people know of Gary, he has been around for years writing and producing. this is one of his smoothest cuts.. apologizing for not understanding.
@peckerpeter1000 WOW! Thank you for that FYI! That's my favorite song of Anita Baker's, and that's saying a lot! And this is my favorite of Gary Taylor's!!! Just shows that REALLY talented artists make EVEN BETTER collabos!
