Its generic, its boring, it requires 0% creativity, belongs on a southern cross austereo radio station. Artists/labels push this purely for the youtube ad rev and hottest 100 votes and dum millennials eat that shit up like custard on christmas day

Weird still people bring up idol, where people like Vera blue and Lisa Mitchell are never spoken of for being on it, guys like 32 idol was like half his life ago, also Mark Holden called him a little bratty kid and was mean to him because he was being bullied and didn’t want to be there anymore
This isn't me busting on Matt, but this sort of performance style whether original song or a cover, just doesn't hit for me. It reads as completely devoid of any sort of emotion, personality, or authenticity to me.
This man has done his level best to humanize this song, but when you slow it down with an acoustic cover it's a lost cause -- it just highlights that the sentiment's mean which is either funny or sad--hard to tell which. Nobody's got an excuse for cat-calling, but the idea that a person with their own house and car is inherently hard working and worthy and not going to do that, while other guys must be human trash hits pretty hard in these hard financial times.

Putting my phone down and just focusing on listening is better than watching because of the camera work as many people have noted
