I saw this lineup in Syracuse NY years ago during a blizzard. Can't believe they made it and played. Not many people came out due to the terrible weather, but those of us that did were treated to one heck of a show with a special encore I'll never forget. Was so stoked to see this set with Cody at it again.
These guys are TOP NOTCH and soo down to earth!!! My favorite part about music is the never ending library! So glad to be alive at this moment in time!!😊
Same here. Well the first tune was being performed I said to myself, I'll listen to this first song. Click the like button during the second tune and watch to the end. 😊
This is one of the most amazing NPR concerts I've ever heard. All three of these dudes and their interplay are incredible. It's giving me Wayne Krantz vibes at times. So sick!
saw Jonathan and Maison along with E'Lon this year at the Rochester Jazzfest. Probably just a week or two before this was filmed. The Fourcestra is seriously underrated so happy they got another opportunity on NPR
It is taking me a little bit of ear adjustment to absorb the steel pans as a lead instrument in this fusion format, but is very intelligent and the musicians are phenomenal.
Steel pan not for a carnival wow that is a first😂However can never avoid the sound association- In fact steel pan in the fields makes me think something real historical centuries even… No politics intended The more I listen the more hear seventies moves specially the second one!!

@@jodyvideo It isn't about the music. Maison is a drumming giant (I don't say that about every good drummer). He should share his gift with as many groups as possible while he's young. Part of getting your name written into the history books is getting your name out there. Fourchestra is a skilled garage band Assuming his personality isn't lacking (I don't know him personally), he could get a gig with anybody
Thanks for always showing me love, NPR ❤🙏🏾
Incredible to hear Jonathan and Cody together again, thank you!!!
Fourchestra with Cody is so special. Couldn't agree more.
Beautiful idea!!! Music in the nature!
Good vibrations!

So good - and on so many levels…musicianship, creativity, those smiles, remote electricity, and, of course, all those aspens
That bass....... undescribably delicious......must I say bangin'
There are so many good musicians out there just enjoying making great fun interesting stuff and I'm so glad we've got this part of humanity

Wow! I thought I'd give it a couple of minutes to see how it grabbed me, and suddenly 25 minutes have gone by without me noticing :D
And THAT is the Tiny Desk effect: introducing us to artists we fall in love with or reminding us how much we love artists we'd forgotten about.

That's a cool bass player :o Steel drums are so soothing, in this context it's very refreshing !
So nice to see Cody !

Great to see Cody again. Thanks for sharing! 🙏🙏
LOVE IT!!
Yeah !!!😗
Wow, that brings back fond memories of 2015, hearing Jonathan and Cody together. Hope the Fourchestra can make it back to Europe, soon. Love, Jan

Niceness! you guys are going places, excellent...
Good stuff!! 🇹🇹💛
WOW!! 🤯🇵🇹
I don't think I've ever heard a steel drum go hard before. Using it in this chromatic almost drum-and-bass kind of way is brilliant.
cant say ive heard steel drums applied like this before. incredibly interesting
interesting tuning and amazing player on the steel drums it has a Ethiopian Mulatu Astatke sound
Crazy good set - cheers
Yeah!
woahhhh never knew I needed to hear trippy steel drum music 😂❤
This is awesome
2:29 Sounds like a level theme song from Crash Bandicoot or Mario 64.
I love it!

AhhMazing 🎉🎉🎉❤
Great set. Nice way to end it.
Люблю вас и берёзки, пацаны

Cody Wright back with the Fourchestra!?!?
😮 excelente!!!
Saw him at the Strathmore years ago
Feel like this is moonhooch if moonhooch came from Jamaica
Jsf!
Good Job NPR 🍊
Have Jesse Welles on next!
this one really sounds like exotic version of LAÇO TAYFA
Oh shoot!
What is that snare drum, it sounds fire!
When was this recorded? Cody Wright quit the band years ago. Is he back, or is this old? The description should include a recording date.
Answer in description: special appearance of Wright
But thanks for asking, wouldn’t have guessed how special this is
@@hevado01 Thanks. I didn't notice that wording. But there should still be a recording date.
@@TheAntibozo all the info you need to find out is given. it's from june of this year.
@@beyshore_ I see no indication of that date in the video description.
@@TheAntibozo the festival was in June 2024 and Jonathan thanked them for having him on FB
Bass sounds so much like Lypso Illusion by Stepehn Ensinas (bass: Angus Nunes)
the animals live in that space appreciated this depravity.

What's the closest beach to Aspen?
STALK RESPONSIBLY
Tiny Desk, Please, we need a Cardellino concert.
Wassup with E'lon JD? This dude is great and all. But E'lon got some wiggle
sounds like the dj from camp rock...
Yes, but can y’all play under the sea?
Johnny Depp ------- BASS! )))))))!

Lurkin' is GOOD
Discretionary advice: Do not try this at home
Jackson John Williams Timothy Lopez Angela
Any vocalist that wouldn't of wooded over this is trunked
Maison wastes his incredible talent with staying in this group for what should been the best years of his career. Time to move on buddy
What a wild take. I'm grateful that Maison's hearing and/or taste is better.
