Hey, look at it this way: This is also how I spent my Sunday Night. ...Maybe that doesn't help. It was brief in this recording, but I love how supportive you are of Donkey Kong '94. It was one of two Game Boy games my father had -- the other being Ms. Pac Man -- along with a purple Game Boy Color, but originally, it had actually failed to load up properly. I was so disappointed that I actually bought a triwing screwdriver and used it with an old high school soldering kit to break open the cartridge and resolder the battery to the motherboard. While I never continued this fascinating world of Nintendo hardware, I did at the very least have so much fun playing through Donkey Kong '94's surprisingly large collection of levels and nuanced movement options. I was holding out to the end of this video hoping you'd see it in the Virtual Console section, but you understandably skimmed over it given how long you'd been browsing already. That said, I'm glad to have stumbled upon this: It makes for a very relaxing way to pass the time, but it's not braindead either. I've noticed your similar adventure through the Wii U eShop, so I'll probably visit that next time I'm winding down for the night. Thanks for sharing this time of yours, Scott. Here's to whatever you post next.
20:26 I’m pretty sure yo kai watch 3 came out in 2017 in Japan. I remember waiting two years for that to come out, it was hell. I really liked the game though.
Yo-Kai Watch 3 came out in Japan in 2016. It's successor Yo-Kai Watch 4 came out in 2019. While the a spin off called Busters 2 came out in 2017. Depending on your region Yo-Kai Watch 3's release in your country is either 2018 or 2019.
It definitely won’t shut down for probably another 6 or 7 years I’d say. Surprisingly even tho it doesn’t seem like it, a lot of people still use and buy from the eshop on the 3DS and a lot of people play the 3DS regularly as well. Since the Switch doesn’t have a virtual console that’s where a lot of the sales are from.
It won't for ANY amount of time now. They sourced out the DSi and Wii servers, so the reason WFC shut down was because the host, GameSpy, died. And the Wii Stores prices were JESUS! Yeah, Nintendo does the servers now.

I feel like yo kai watch is only popular in japan which is a shame
I love the yokai watch series but have no friends of community to share my love of it with. I really hope the switch game comes to America... Someday
I think it was 2016 actually
Yo-Kai Watch 3 came out in Japan in 2016. It's successor Yo-Kai Watch 4 came out in 2019. While the a spin off called Busters 2 came out in 2017. Depending on your region Yo-Kai Watch 3's release in your country is either 2018 or 2019.
51:40 used to get on that everyday and I decorated my home menu to tell a story. I wish the Switch OS felt more "Nintendo-Like"
I’m an hour late!
...but the 3DS eShop is kinda cool. The download exclusives are kinda cool. It’s gonna be a shame when it shuts down.
Funoawesome Especially with the Homebrew scene.
It won't for ANY amount of time now. They sourced out the DSi and Wii servers, so the reason WFC shut down was because the host, GameSpy, died. And the Wii Stores prices were JESUS! Yeah, Nintendo does the servers now.
i really spent my sunday night listening to scott talk about the eshop for an hour
God damn it.
