To me, the most precious thing about old tibia is that no one was used to playing these types of games, because it was one of the first of its kind, so we were all a bunch of noobs with shitty mechanics that could barely control our mouse and keyboard simultaneously, and the game itself wasnt really "complete" which allowed us all to experience unintended shit for the first time that was later "fixed" or removed. Now everyone seems to know what to do, and can speed run through the first 100+ levels and completely ignore what used to be the funniest parts of the game. Everyone has blessings now too, so the rewarding feeling of finding sick loot is almost non-existent today. I think I speak for a lot of people when i say this: Even if CIP made a classic tibia, we will NEVER experience the same game ever again, because old tibia wasnt killed purely due to updates to the game. It also died due to the fact that we grew to optimize everything we do. When was the last time you did desert quest, dwarven axe quest, crusader helmet quest or dark armour quest? We ignore these today because we'd rather spend our time to min/max experience per hour than to explore the game. But we should be thankful that we got to experience this part of internet history. Kids today will NEVER experience what we were fortunate enough to experience. Tibia made boys into men, girls into women.
The funniest part is the dude chasing him all the way from Thais to Venore was making sure to stop at each dead body to check loot even though they were clearly not gonna have anything worth while lmao

nah thing is, redskull didnt mean much back then. It's not like now where anyone with a redskull, even white skull will insta be killed/attacked. Back then people left redskulls alone, they didn't really die much so they could wear whatever they wanted really.

Man I tried getting back to tibia recently... After retiring in 2012 and I can honestly say the tibia that it once used to be is no more... I tried to find some stable ots with tibia 8.4-8.6 max but they dont exist :( sad times

Premium accounts were not as easy to obtain, people and parents were not use to spending money on premium for a free game. Alot of higher levels always without prem. Also mana fluids were harder, less bang for your bucks, 200-300gp of fluids to haste for 60 seconds
