I have a different washer with a similar plate. It REFUSED to come out no matter what I did. Tried this trick with some rope I had laying around and after a couple tugs, it popped right out! Super helpful! I would not have thought to do this on my own. Thanks!!
I tried everything to remove the agitator to no avail and then gave up and ran the washer on Tub Clean mode with the bolt removed. To my surprise, found the agitator floating in the water mid cycle. Would prob stop the washer before spin cycle as that may ruin the agitator.
On whirlpool top load washers there is a detailed troubleshooting manual with electrical diagrams taped to the inside &font of the washer. You need to lift up the top part of the washer to get it. Push top part away from you until top- slides about an inch. Move gradually towards you as you jiggle it should come off. Reach down between drum and front panel of washer to get manual. Manual also has self test procedures and troubleshooting.
Please advise I have semi w/m top loader I have to repair gear box which has water leakage problem. Tried a lot to take out the pulsator, bolt removed, put chain behind/below pulsator to take out on pulling it, but failed as it is jammed. Give the solution.
DON'T DO THIS! TRY MY METHOD INSTEAD!! I watched a TON of these videos and only 1 worked. I felt dumb after trying all the tools and straps. Just take off the plastic cap. Remove the bolt. Pour in some bleach and set it on 'Tub Clean'. I canceled the cycle at 0:50 and the washplate was there floating in the water. Stupid easy. The tub will drain automatically after a while or you can just close the lid and let it complete the cycle. I felt silly after trying to manhandle the washer! (Note: I'm 5'2" petite female and probably wouldn't have been able to muscle that thing off anyways.)
I want you to try my Kenmore washer ? I Used all kinds of techniques! ACID !Screws! !strings! RUBBER HAMMER ! You name! I just need a Boby cat 🐈 digger! !the dam thing still stuck! 😁😁

Just loosen the screw and let it spin......automatic pulsator come out easily
