I learned this from someone else, but throwing some baby oil or another suitable non-toxic oil in after the balls are grown and drained keeps them lubricated as Goats tend to dry out a lot compared to other gels.
@@johnh3733 that's a complicated question. I have a style of gel that I lean towards, and it sometimes comes in various different branding depending on who secured what batch at what time. I try to aim for gels that will grow to around 7.3mm without any intervention, and are hard enough to be good ballistically but not so hard that they jam if you do happen to get an oversized one. The original AKA fit this bill, and there have been several other brands like TEH extra hard and Xforce black label that have also fit. But batches change and sometimes what you get one time isnt the same as what you get in the same branded bag the next time..
@lowguidoschopshop imho size consistency of the gel is more consequential to the accuracy than any tuning and/or mod you can do. However, as a caveat, it does seem to matter less at lower fps. Hardness seems to correlate to more consistent ballistic aerodynamics. My biggest peev is jams caused by oversized gels, probably the most significant deciding factor in my purchasing choice.

These are interestingly different crush results to what I got.
These are my go to gels, never had an issue, gas and hpa.
Mine were all over the place , not too impresed so far
Where can I get a gel sorter?
@@jessicajudge9619 Xforce
X force tactical sell them, unmodified.
Is there a brand that you daily drive or recommend?
