I have the same affliction with Danielle Noel! I buy some of her decks MULTIPLE TIMES, but I kind of hate them? But her art is so beautiful! It IS the people...most of the time. Fun video!
Ok after watching first of all I wanna say I love you and your takes 😆💕 they crack me up and bring me joy - truly. I also want to say I agree with you wholeheartedly. There is something SO enticing about Danielle Noel's art. The colors, the ethereal vibes...it's gorgeous. But I have the Moonchild and we have such a love/hate relationship. Like there are a handful of cards in that deck that are STUNNING and some of my favorite depictions of the tarot ever. But like 85% of the deck is very "peopley" and it angers me and takes me out of the moment. The instagram models mixed with the new age akashic atlantis star seed shit feels really corny and annoys me to no end lol.
I thought about getting one of the Moonchild Tarot decks. Then I saw a video comparing the original Moonchild Tarot with the Muse Tarot by Chris-Anne. I realized I like the Muse Tarot better and I already had it in my collection. So I skipped either Moonchild Tarot edition.

Yeah. Starseed Oracle was one of the first decks I bought, but ...and I feel like a mean person for saying this.. but I'm so over Danielle Noel/Campbell. All the Same!!! Blah colors, same old cliche artwork: 1. women with flowing gowns 2. people falling thru the air 3. way too many flowers 4. way too many ancient temples, and 5. way too much mirrorring.
💯 agree with all of this! If Danielle Noel made a deck with just portals and nature scenes of jungles/ocean/mountains/deserts with NO people in it (maybe an animal for scale instead of a person) and No light worker/new age/lemuria/download keywords, I would eat that shit up.

Have you seen where Dani Mystic took a Rebecca Campbell/Danielle Noelle Oracle deck and she cut off all the card titles/keywords and added on her own keywords? Basically it's an altered Oracle deck just using the artwork. Maybe cutting off the bottom tan section with the words and rounding the corners would make the deck more workable for you?

Perhaps you are just an eternal optimist?? Always hoping the new Danielle Noel will be ‘the one’ for you 😊. (No shade on Danielle Noel - beautiful art). As a rule, I avoid any deck that has something I ‘can’t live with’ about it. For example, if the titles on the cards irritate me, even if I adore the art, I just won’t buy it. As medical treatment becomes more expensive, it just isn’t worth raising my blood pressure! 😂
I can sometimes get into a Danielle Noel mood, but not super often. The problem is that when I get into a Danielle Noel mood, my credit card just comes flying out of my purse.
Danielle Noel decks are your shadow decks, haha! I would look more into what’s behind your feelings of being made fun of - although I have similar feelings. I think it’s my background in science and being raised by secular scientists. I have some embarrassment around my spiritual side, and Danielle Noel is very new age spiritual. I do wish she’d take out the people too. Her art is soooo beautiful!
I haven’t seen any mass market decks that I would buy in ages. They are either AI, look rushed/not well thought out, words and images don’t work together, or they look like decks that already exist.
So I had the same issue with all her decks as well because they all feel like they are pushing “starseed” on you in some way shape or form which is not a concept i subscribe to. HOWEVER….. i just picked up the starseed deck off the shelf the other day (been collecting dust for years) and been really enjoying it for some outrageous reason? Why I had 3 and only kept the Starseed one? No clue. Thats what brought me to this video. Watching your take on this has helped me realize I also hate the key words and descriptions. Aaaaaaand also how u said it is all the things you’ve made fun of? 100%. It reminds me of that one chick with the dreads on Instagram/tiktok who claims so be super spiritual but is just super unbearable.
What I dislike most about this artwork and Starseed, Rose, etc. is the cards that have mirror image - where the left side is the same as the right side. To me it is lazy artistry and boring and repetitive.

Rose quartz does grow in a crystalline formation, but it's very small and kind of like a fuzzy formation. But it does indeed grow into tiny points

I cut the titles off all mine. The text never seems to match to image.

This ended up being the only Danielle Noelle deck I've actually been interested in and ended up liking. All the others have not appealed to me at all.

I have taken cards out of almost every deck, and put them in a box of 'rejects'. Life is too short to look at cards I don't like!

Not into these decks. Never have been attracted to them. 🤷…. But in all honesty the radiant wilds tarot is more my thing
