I modded my PS Classic about 2 years ago and it still runs great! I have pretty much everything I want to play from Atari, NES, SNES, Genesis, 32X, Sega CD, Game Gear, Game Boy, GBC, GBA, N64, and Playstation. Plus a lot of romhacks seem to work depending on which emulator you're using. I like using my PS4 controller to play everything. It's a good all in one system if you're traveling or want to condense your old systems to focus on just the games.
So, you should have specified that you need the CUE AND BIN Files in the transfer folder, to get the Hacked PS1 to recognize the game and run it. Other than that, excellent instructional!
No offence but CUE and BIN files have been used for ages in emulation and it is like common sense to copy both files, so it is easy to forget to mention it in a video.
@@skpenergy I think if you download a game file it should already be in the main file folder if not keep downloading some games untill you get one that has BIN and QUE files in the main folder copy those 2 and paste them to any files that are missing the .QUE & .BIN files

I can’t be the only one who has problems doing this, I download the project Eris and then put it into my ps classic and nothing happens, or it shows the ps logo then turns back off? I’ve had this problem multiple times trying to hack this thing.
This is a big reason I wait about 3-5 months before making purchases on video game consoles/games instead of purchasing at launch. Sony gets a lot of crap for this console, but they released it knowing that it was going to get hacked and modded. They basically served it up on a silver platter for hackers and by lowering cost of parts means even at the $25 price point they still will make profit even if very minimal. I got mine at GS brand new for $20 using a $5 off coupon and for $20 with all the problems this system has is still a very good deal. If you are not into illegally downloading or ripping PSX games, it's still smart to hack the console because doing so basically fixes all those problems of the stock hardware.

I am curious, why use Project Eris over Autobleem? I am looking into modding my PS Classic and am having a tough time deciding on which one I should go with.

Head over to the modmyclassic discord where you will find a good group of guys that will help you. Chances are though you have a power limit issue. The front USB sockets are power limited by Sony, so the bigger the flash drive, the more power it draws. If the USB is sucking to much juice, it won't work. Your options are a power mod, or more simply, get a otg adaptor. It plugs in the back so you have both sockets free on the front. Another issue could be if you are using an old USB flash drive, it maybe just too slow. It's enough to install eris, but mayne too slow to run games.
