People complain about the main character and her hair. CHUDS this game takes place between Empire and Jedi, those films came out in 1980 and 1983. Now go on this site and watch some TV/MOVIES and other content that came out during that time and look at how the hottest women looked like. I grew up in the 80s, they LOOKED JUST LIKE THAT, with the Eddie Van Halen hair. They are trying to make this look like a SW film that came out during that era. Trying to do with what TEYON did with the new Robocop game, they did a good job making a game that looked like it was a interactive version of a Robocop game that came out between 2 and 3.

Let's hope Ubisoft can redeem themselves a bit with this. I've no sympathy for Skull and Bones and some of their other failures but I can't say watching themselves self implode has been at all fun.

At the very least I hope it has really charming retro sci-fi thing going on, the character design looks like this could be a very nostalgic Star Wars Adventure of the early 80s, I'm completely down for that. Truthfully I think this is a lose-lose, if it's bad Ubisoft bites the dust again & adds to the pool of disappointing Star Wars content. If its good Ubisoft will glean everything that made it good, while ignoring its flaws and inconsistencies cuz they're definitely not going to listen to the input or criticism from the most toxic fan base of all IP's likely making us doomed for several installments of rinse & repeat so they can milk micro transactions because they just can't help themselves.

Oh nahh this game will be the typical mid , ultra safe , with only cool weapons locked under micro transactions
My friends and I are staying far away from it. Sweet baby inc touch of death all over it.
Plus the game looks really mid and a spray paint of watchdogs 1.
Is this why we haven't heard anything about beyond good and evil 2? Did they just rework that game into this?
This and Black Myth Wukong most hyped about. Plz have 60fps options on console 🙏
We need more Bounty Hunter/Scoundral games like this Instead of it always being a force user. My possible theory is that we might see the release this holiday or in the summer since its coming out this year.
That sounds boring u basically want battlefront 2 regardless of how u feel playing a force user is always superior lol
Agreed, Force users are .0000001% of the population. Get more creative. I just wish this had a darker tone.
@@onabiv Yea but like thats kind of what makes Star Wars so different lol. Star wars without force users is like The Witcher without Witchers. I like gunplay focused games, but saying to get more creative and not having force users makes no sense. This is why I want a game like KOTOR where you can choose how you want to play.
How do we even know that it's not a 2025 release? Or at least a holiday release, meaning December 2024. That would be my bet, based on the amount they've shown us so far. AC Red is different because that's just a reskin. Hopefully a mix between Odyssey and Ghost of Tsushima, but still a reskin.
This looks like Forspoken but in the Star Wars universe
This is gonna be another Jedi Fallen situation. Reviewers are gonna shill out for a mediocre game because it's Star Wars.
I'm a lifelong Star Wars fan, but Jedi Fallen Order was one of the worst games I've ever played. This game looks more basic, so I expect it to only get love because it's Star Wars. I genuinely see nothing about it that makes it a "must-have" game.
@@improbablyyourdad8458yeah bro idk what you're on, but Fallen Order was pretty great to play through. Story might be trash but the gameplay was sick. Survivor takes the combat further. I mean it's just our opinions but you are wrong lmao
@@2kool4u_mac67 story isn’t even that bad might as well be empire strikes back compared to 90% the stuff Disney puts out.
@@acev3521 the story in the Jedi games are 10x better than anything Disney has put out in film... Without a doubt
Hey Luke have you seen the updates with star citizens server meshing tech
Everything you said about it in the beginning was true. If it comes out to be good as it looks. I'm buying it day 1. Very good video. 👍
Luke what do you think about the hype that is building up around the possibilities of Larian studios next project, with Larian moving away from baldurs gate AND the Knight of the old republic remake seemingly disappearing what do you think about a KOTOR game being made by Larian in the gameplay style of baldurs gate 3, i assume it would be a guaranteed success and as you pointed out in this video, disney are alot more open with what devs can do with star wars than wizards of the coast are which was one of the things Larian didnt like
Larian making a KOTOR game would be my dream, but I don't see that happening for the remake at least. They also said they want to do something different that isn't D&D, which might mean they will move away from turn based combat into something different such as a hybrid or full action combat. Plus KOTOR has already been given to another company and it's being worked on right now. On a call the execs said they wanted more time to work on it and It's now speculated it may be ready for a 2025 release.
I don't know what to think. Avatar was supposed to be big for them too but it just dropped off the face of the earth after a few weeks
My guess is that Star Wars Hunters will launch on May 4th for free and they'll also announce this game's launch day as June or July
That is a mobile game.
Avatar was amazing in my opinion
The thing is Massive can build a fun open world and the combat and shooting is going to feel top notch play the division 2 the shooting mechanics is among the best I have faith in Massive
While I'm keeping an eye on this game, it won't be a day-one purchase for me despite it being a lot of what I want to see from a Star Wars game. It's Ubisoft so I'm always a bit hesitant and cautiously skeptical. I'm hopeful but not convinced just yet
Most Ubisoft games look good at first.
It’s UbiSoft. I am not holding my breath.
Let's hope Ubisoft can redeem themselves a bit with this. I've no sympathy for Skull and Bones and some of their other failures but I can't say watching themselves self implode has been at all fun.
someone send me this game right now...I'll pay whatever you want!...😂😂😂
Just wait until the game comes with the ubisoft standard "+50% money and xp" micro transaction, that in truth without those you just have less 50% money and xp
Getting flashbacks of watchdogs 1 😮💨 I’m thinking maybe a 7-8.
This is made by massive devs of the division
Its Been A long Time Since i Paid Top AAA Priced Game,This Could Flip That its just Tough to Trust New Games This Gen,But i Am Very Optimistic
I'm a sucker for Star Wars games so unless the game comes out in a horrible optimalization / performance state (probably gonna be playin it on PS5) imma buy it Day 1. Great video Luke! :)
Why luke is pushing THIS game?
Game looks good but what’s up with the playable character lead’s hair? Looks like Uber Karen😂
Plot twist this is just season 1
I want to play as that robot 10:31. It is much better looking than the female protagonist. It has infinitely more character and charisma.
You are so smart🙄
@@owenharrison761 I know.
Who likes cooking systems?
This looks cool by I feel like we’re going to be FF15 here
Get big open world then shoved in liner paths little half way through
Will wait for reviews and the Ubisoft price cut that happens within weeks
this video aged bad
Prince of Persia got a beta
Skull and bones got a beta
I really hope that this gets a beta
I'd love for Luke to revisit Star Wars Battlefront 2 2017
your comment about endor is stupid, they where not fighting over endor they were trying to destroy the shield emitter base for the second death star which is located on endor
I want the game to be great, but that it looks "too good to be true" could be literal in the case of a Ubisoft game. It's all bullshot. Like The Division, or Watch Dogs, etc etc. I'm really surprised that it is not being called out, but some people never learn. I just don't want to see everyone bitching when the game releases and looks nothing like this "gameplay."
Love ya, Luke...but this is driving hype.
I don’t know what you’re definition of called out is but on RUclips it certainly has been called to good to be true by many. If you’re talking about the big companies then yes they haven’t but they won’t. I mean a lot of them gave valaha an 8.
It definitely could be my own ignorance. I keep a blind spot for really negative creators and "nerd culture" hype channels
really hoping this isn't a repeat of watch dogs
I think avatars biggest problem is that it’s avatar.
I mean respawn kinda already did this only you’re Jedi which IMO is better.
no sane person should have faith in this
its Ubisoft, you know what'll happen, you know what they'll push
remember DONT PRE-ORDER
Oh, I wish that outlaws was going to be as incredible as it looks, and meet all the promises that they are listing. But at this point I’m praying that it’s just mid enough to be worth playing 😂 i’ve been burned by too many good looking tech demos, no shot this game matches the hype
I feel like this is such an October release and idk why
Most of these games are made on professional graphics cards
I feel stupid because I’m so hyped for this game 😅
Everything is looking good so far except for the combat. We haven't seen much and what we have seen seems pretty mediocre.
I liked Avatar so I will definitely be looking into this one!
I think they release this sooner then later knowing that GTA 6 comes out next year they are gonna wanna give the game as much time on top as they can before GTA comes out and everyone gonna hang it up more then likely so if they were smart atleast they would hurry up and release it.....
The main characters haircut tells me all I need to know about this game.
I saw some leaks and the female lead looks worse than in the trailer
I want to play as that robot 10:31. It is much better looking than the female protagonist. It has more character and charisma.
Ubisoft isnt making it, they’re just publishing it.
Ubisoft owns massive entertainment
are you stupid? Massive Entertaiment is an internal studio of Ubisoft. It's like Naughty Dog or Santa Monica owned by Sony. These are not second party studio but first party studios.
@@punchykarma6685Ubisoft is a publisher not a developer. Just because they own Massive, doesn’t mean they are the ones making the game
@@MrRobot-tz5dv They own Massive which means massive reports to Ubisoft. Yea massive develops it, but Ubisofts hands are still in it lol. Anything they want to put into their game has to go through Ubisoft first. Timelines go through Ubisoft. Financials go through Ubisoft. This is very standard for the industry. It's the same situation as Activision owning their dev studios. That's what makes a AAA studio so different from Indie.
@@punchykarma6685 you said it yourself. Massive develops, Ubisoft publish lol ofc they have influence, but the creative development happens at the developer.
