Great tip I would have to go back to this video in the fall/winter as I live in Texas! Would like to request a video for fishing in the dog days of summer in the south (cover, structure, thermocline). thank you sir!
Congratulations John! I live in Michigan and also deal with that crazy weather all the time, waking up to high 40 degrees in June #puremichigan Thanks for the tips!
Good tips as always. I like deep and current options in my rotation of fisheries. Once heard a Ohio DNR biologist say this statement..... The walleye fisherman don't fish shallow enough and the bass fisherman don't fish deep enough. Travis Hartman is the biologist name. The versatility in fishing is what makes this entity awesome. Enjoying your tips and vids keep up the great work.
Awww man I'm guessing you got this front that came through. Its absolutely awesome living in the same state as a pro who puts out vids especially up north here
My poorest fishing days have been those large swings in the barometric pressures. I feel bad for those who set their fishing days in advance, because of their work schedules or vacation plans. I guess Mother Nature is in total control and that's why we have those periodic "skunked days"
Great tips Matt! I'd love to get your thoughts on fishing with conflicting weather conditions. I'm also in Wisconsin and will be fishing on Sunday. At that point this post frontal situation will be a 5 day old pretty steady pattern. It is supposed to be cloudy with a strong Northeast wind. Would you start out power fishing to try to take advantage of the clouds and wind? Or approaching it like a post frontal situation because the water will still be cooling since it is warmer than the air?
Thanks Matt! That was my first thought as well. It's crazy how many variables can come into play while fishing, and how easy it is to get spun out by over thinking things.
Weird! A front in summer? I'm in Florida and we only get fronts till spring and sometimes on rare occasions during spring! Like this year. We just got slammed by a hurricane so the water levels are very high and flooding. I'll be out trying to catch them!

Going through a cold front right now in Alabama. I hate cold fronts. Thanks for the advice, Matt. Have a great day and be safe
Thanks for watching!
Great tip and a good reminder. I've found this to be true almost anywhere.
Thanks!

Great tip Matt thanks been learning a lot from your videos!!!!
Glad to hear it!
Please send some of that 58 degree weather to Texas.
Haha! ITs in the 80's again
Great info Matt! Is there any value to using a barometer on the boat to get additional info on the front?
There is scientific evidence that suggests fish become more active with baromentric change but Im not qualified enough to talk about it

Yep sometimes you just don't get to pick the best days
Great tips Matt that's why I tune in everyday from Ohio.
I appreciate that!

I’d probably start out power fishing
