Either that or they know she's the reason he joined up to get away from and throws him a big ass party to celebrate! I hope the latter, at least if he, in meeting with his CO & Navy legal rep, told them to throw the book at his harpy mom.
I grew up in Wyoming. The lady in the first story needs to be told how cool it would be to get a picture of her hugging a bison. Better yet... She should get a pic while riding one. It would be a souvenir that she'd never forget. Or she could enjoy a dip in one of our beautiful hot springs. That happens every few years.

Story - Navy mom Even if the son's ship had been in port and he'd been called to come get her, I'm pretty sure he'd have told them no, I will not. The last, I knew my mother was in a psych hospital.
I can definitely verify that OC spray hurts like hell. I got sprayed to be an MA (military police in the Navy) and it’s one of the most horrible feelings I will never forget. The burn, oh the fiery pits of hell burn.

I've seen Navy MPs equipped with assault rifles. They are supposed to try lesser stuff first, even Marines are trained for that. There are logical exceptions of course. If they've already pulled a pistol, the assault rifle is immediately authorized.

That OC spray OP had guarding the pier is some wicked stuff! If you want to experience the effect. Blend ghost peppers into a liquid. Stain to get has much of any solids as possible out. Then add some oil (vegetable, olive, ect) so you can put it in a spray bottle. Pump bottle works too. Take that mixture, and spray yourself in the face. You now know how OC spray feels, and works. I’ll wager you’ll only do it once! After the pain of not being able to breath, and finally having your face feel like it no longer in the fires of hades, and of course can breath normal again you’ll appreciate clean air, and have a general hate of all things pepper.
