  • Here's some more shots from Day out with Thomas at the Florida Railroad Museum. This time we take a look at the deadhead back to Willow after the event wrapped up. ex Santa Fe cf7 #204 is the motive power for these moves and puts on a good show hustling the 9 car train back to Willow. I really wanted some shots of these moves because this will be the last long train operating at the museum until Pumpkin Patch Express in October. Thanks For Watching Please Share.

IMC CF7 #204 with a P3 and EMD steel bell leads day out with Thomas excursion. #204 was originally a parts source to keep the other ones running until it was discovered #204 was in good shape. #204 is one of the workhorses nowadays

We take the train back to our Willow Yard. Thomas is delivered by truck, so that is where we return it to be picked up the next day.

The train was headed back to the Willow Yard so that the Thomas locomotive can be picked up and taken to its next stop, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga.

Here's to all the locomotives out there ACTUALLY powering the DOWT trains while everyone pays attention to the blue dumpster up front.
Do you know why the Thomas dummy makes that weird sound as it moves? It made that sound when I was there. Maybe it's because the thing's basically hollowed out on the inside? I don't know.

I think it's the rods mixed with the outer shell rattling
