9v9 High Press Soccer Practice | Birmingham City Academy Training Session

Chris Lathem, the then U13 - U14 Cell Lead at Birmingham City delivers a 9v9 High Press Game.
Chris split the pitch into 3rds for a 9v9 practice over half a pitch with the idea to keep things tight. When the ball starts with the goal keeper, the players need to use the higher 2 3rds leaving the defensive 3rd free the idea was to get the keeper to get used to sweeping behind the back line.
Looking at the 1v1s, 2v2, 3v3s and get the players to see how that applies to a 9v9 scenario.
Chris kept the play over short and quick games to increase the intensity in play and add more possible outcomes.
