It is hard to believe that this was 28 years ago. Almost 3 decades ago. Damn....time flies. I was born in 81 and have been listening to them since I was in elementary school...and I still am. The Ramones are my Beatles. They are the one band that I never get sick of.
Yeah dude. It is really sad. They are one band where it really hit me when the guys started passing. Especially Johnny. The guy looked at playing in a band as a 'job'. Saved his money throughout his entire career, lived in a tiny apartment,..just looking forward to having enough money to retire. They finally retire, he moves and buys his dream home..then dies of something that shouldn't have killed him. Prostate cancer is one of the most easily treated AND curable cancers...if it is detected. BUT, the dude didn't go to the doctor very often. It is really, really sad. He should be with us..enjoying his retirement.
