Cleaning Up the Engine Bay

- Today we start buy reverting back to the stock catback on the WRX...for good reason of course... Then I clean up the engine bay to prepare for new parts and the K20.

nice man! bay cleaned up so good! i want to do that to civic hatch when i k swap it but just thinking of all the labor has me tired already lol
Luis Diaz it was so dirty.. my friends were like omg why did you buy this. Cause i knew that the amount of undercoating on it that the paint under all the grim would he good with no rot lol it took awhile and alot of engine detail spray but I got it :)
Nicholas Marlow is that all you used to clean it? you didnt touch it up with paint or anything else?

Luis Diaz Yeah a pressure washer and autoglym engine degreaser as well as microfiber to help loosen the dirt up. And wipe some areas clean. I did grind some spots that had surface rust and touched them up with some silver paint.

Did you remove the abs unit and go non abs
Plus_R_Mode it didnt come with ABS
Why u change sub frame just besides it being repainted? Do you have final parts list to swap a key in DC 2 I got same car and been gathering parts as they come available funds pending? Searched Google but it's mostly eking egg civic list
The one that came on the car was very rusty and had seen salt. The one I had was clean. It was a better candidate for powdercoat and allowed my car to continue to roll. I mean I could make a list but, some people may have other parts on their list like power steering, AC, heater core still there. It really depends. Basics would be, engine, trans, ecu (hondata or ktuner), conversion harness, engine harness, fuel rail, fuel kit, fuel pressure regulator, swap mounts, rsx axles depending on what hubs you have, aftermarket header, custom exhaust, shifter box, shift cables, intake pipe filter, clutch line, retain stock or get a new coolant ovefflow, rad, rad hoses.
Mike lehr tbh, anything you find with an EG will be the same for DC they use the same parts down to suspension.
@@nicholasmarlow4359 yeah just confused me why you changed subframe makes sense now being rusted new they were mostly alike. I'm about to swap do same thing just wanted to to see basics of what you did. I'm do it same way ones I get my engine

What color purple did you get the subframe painted?
