I'm furious, there's advertising attached to this video, and I have no idea why, as my channel is NOT monetized.
Is this happening to you too? has it happened in other videos? please let me know
I pay for premium so I get no ads at all
Yes it did & WTF? But yes, someone crept in with BS. Go get them Elaine, Luv you🧸💥✌️...no other video AD s So far💀
I did not get advertising
I also got a 5 minute ad.
I got more commercials, another long one.
Sensational Shakedown Street
saw them 1st time a few weeks later, Mydland centre stage
Hand me my old guitar,
Pass the whiskey 'round----
Thank you, Elaine 😊
Another 79 Hunter Matrix!!! I sure hope he got all the board in on this one!
🎧✨🎸🐯🎤🎹✨🤤
39:55 ❤ but it don’t look like me ❤ She played American Beauty for me and mouthed this line, eyes closed, along with Jerry. That was the moment I got on that bumpy bus ride. Thanks Elaine, such a nice matrix!
My Sunday morning music ‼💝
Gotta agree with the person who said they would give this show to somebody who had never heard Jerry play guitar b4…! His lines are so fluid and so deep in the pocket throughout. Listen to the way he floats above it all in such a melodically visionary way- even Me and My Uncle blew my mind. His imagination/ Creative Energy are on fire here, all night look. Ultra classic show. Thank you!
Well said 👍
I saw the guys from '67on, and that was jerry at his best, usually on those "western/country" tunes like me & my uncle or el paso that he was at his best, picking leads throughout the tune; or early jams like china cat/I know you rider... that said; this IS a great show! look to the early shows, before he got sidetracked by substances...
Phil dropping bombs before Miracle. He meant business. Probably my favorite of any ‘79 show I saw. Yeah, I missed Cape Cod
For those who weren't fortunate enough to have seen them while Jerry was alive, to the tapers....many thanks!! NFA
Such a powerful and crisp show!❤️✨✨❤️
I was at this show. Was supposed to be at Red Rocks, but got moved last minute to McNichols, supposedly due to bad weather forecast. There were some crowd issues the previous night at Red Rocks, & I think that had something to do with it also.
I hiked up to verry last row in the arena where I could sit & sulk in peace. About 1 minute into shakedown, my attitude did a 180 & all was good. I still spent the whole show way way back from the crowd, where there was room to stretch out & take it all in. Glad I did, it was interesting experience.
🎯🎶👍🎊😎Good Timing ⏱
The Clock reads time shake them bones 👋😴🫠🤪🤗wakin & bakin💨💨😁😁🥳🗿🧙🏻♂️
😁💨🥰
How come All of you are Smiling??💀🍄🎸💖
Bud morning 🙃🌅🪄🧙♂️💨💨
Yes indeed, Shakedown is excellent, and the jam on He's Gone that becomes The Other One is exciting and very well paced and played. 1979 is one of a few years I've barely investigated. This show got my attention. And the Cape Cod '79 Dancin'>Franklin's is one for the ages. Sunday afternoon dipping into the '79 sound sounds like a nice time!
Even Keith and Donna 79 was spectacular with Wolf! The band was ready for Brent! ✨🎤🎹✨🌹💚
“Nobody’s Fault but Mine” between Hes Gone and Other One…
Just graduated HS June prior. Remember all day gloomy rain and whippets against the east doors and when those ol doors drew back rushed the stage for 3rd row Center and We never stopped Rockin’ Sensational Show and being a Red Rocks rain relocate
Actually make that Nobody’s …after truckin
The West Coast shows are spacey, if you like.
Great show. ! Thanks Elaine ☕️✨✨☕️☕️🐝🖖💕
well well well after a period without sending music, here we are, and to repair the time without sending, a big...
I listened to the first 10 minutes, and I thought it was incredible. very varied, so many influences are remarkable, and the way they mix is great.
I really like the weight of the distortion used. flirts with metal, also very jazz... very good, thank you.
@@eletricnaneland352 oh yes you must be talking about Black Corridor. Yes it’s great. One guy in England recorded and performed all the instruments. That’s his channel. I wish you made that comment under the music video. He would love to read that. Thanks Elaine you are all heart. ❤️
I attended this show. It was probably like my thirtieth or fortieth show. Having hitchhiked from NYC, it was a tremendous bring down that Red Rocks was washed out after the first night. But Jerry wasn't having it and he blew the roof off the place that night. At that point I thought this was the best show I had ever seen. And that would include New Haven and Hartford in May 77, Englishtown, and Nassau Coliseum in January 79. After this show, I knew Brent Mydland was going to work out. With the Shakedown Street opener Jerry put the crowd on notice that he came ready to rock. The crowd is loud because the band was killing it that night!
I was there as well, and the night after. The mood of those around me was little different because everyone was hyped for 3 days outdoors at Redrocks, and when you are expecting that but then have to go into the grungy city, it's a letdown. That gives some context to Weir's initial statement about it raining outside, thus they had made the right choice to move the shows to McNichols. Shakedown Street (the song), still had the dreaded "disco dead" label amongst my friends, so to have them come charging out with that was like - "ok, this is different now!" I remember the start of that song well and it still gives me chills.
Wow, Jerry's brand new "Tiger" sounds incredible!!! One of its earliest appearances, along with a brand spankin' new Althea, still in the works. What a great mix!
🎸🐯 debuted 8/4. Brent debuted 4/22. My debut 9/1. I jumped on the bus at the right time!
✨🎤🎹✨🌹💚
On second thought, was there ever a bad time to catch the bus?
😁🚌💀🌹🌈✌️💨
@@staggerlee4979Hey Stagger, is that Donna singing back-up? I thought she left with Keith? Brent's vocals are still a work in progress here.
79 Brent is Like Donna with perfect pitch. 😆
Wow!!! 2 amazingly cool facts there...
'79.....their singing and harmonizing was beautiful. 💀⚡️
Wow! We went to this show, I've never heard a recording. When the show was over we drove through the night to Durango.
Absolutely incredible opening! Wow🎉 thanks for sharing❤ Just started my day off work with this show and a wake n bake. Great day ahead. Hope your day will be a great one as well⚘️⚡️✌️
9 mile skid on a 10 mile ride...last minute venue change due to the weather turned out ok show-wise, just not for those who trekked to CO for the Red Rocks experience..😕 🎵🎶Happy Sunday, Elaine 🌞🎸✌️⚘️
I was at this show.
I was staying Denver at friends for the run. (I lived in Leadville Co) This was night two. .last minute venue change crazy weather in Colrado. old McNichols arena. great night. Shakedown is PRIME !! No warm up needed.... One of those nights where they were Red Hot right outta the dressing rooms.
Second set highlight
He's Gone > The Other One ~ Phil booming away...
it's funny with all the shows I have I never had a copy of this on Cassette or CD. sounds great Thank you all involved.
True story...I recently googled Mr. Hunter and realized my 🕺 buddy at many dead & related shows. Mind blowing 🤯...
Was my first show. Had tickets but a guy my dad worked with knew someone, so scored backstage passes.
Hey Now Boys and Girls - this looks juicy... sounds like a Shakedown Opener. Niiiiice!
love the re-venueing
So cool Denver upped the antenna and filled in for these stellar shows. See what ❤ can do PERIOD
Elaine thanks for the early Brent show. It shows just how he is starting to get on the same wavelength as the other players. By the way I too was blasted with commercials.
My favorite Daily Dead. Thank you Jerry mooch.❤🎉😊
Sensational Bertha-Good Lovin!! 🎧💀🌹🤤💚
With no ads!! 🥳
wow. when you look at late show setlists no comparison. so good. Shakedown :)
There's a Nobody's Fault jam in Truckin.
😹
This show is really primo, one of the best of the year and probably the best since Brent joined. He premiered Easy To Love You the next night.
fantastic ferocious drums. BK & MH at their very best -- the beast with four hands and four feet. Yowza!
so cool to end a show with Truckin -- how many times did THAT happen?
What a LOUD CROWD
Yeah baby. Denver rivals NYC.❤😮😊
Best Sailor heretofore, imho.❤❤
Always love a Sailor. Great song.
Thanks Again for the righteous quality replays. Honestly, I don't believe I've heard better sound quality than the stuff you share. Many thanks for all you.
Elaine you are doing Jerry's (I mean God's) bidding with your uploads ❤❤❤ thank you bud, please keep the Music coming! 🎉❤🎉❤
This space is 🔥.
Thank you very kindly
Massive Show!!!

Exactly 💯
Have fun 🤗🎸✨
Parrish and his red suspenders....
Pouring rain at Red Rocks, so let's play at the "big Mac".
althea is lyrically inverted..
This photo is from Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver, not McNichols.
The video is frozen 😢
Sure this isn’t New York? They sure do cheer during the town name drop on Truckin
Yep. This show is riddled with advertisements…such an unusual misfortune!
Will repost on date and see if gey better w/o add
This show Don't deserve these crap add
Pretty sure if you have a student….premium is 6.99$ a month no commercials….trailer park boy here and it’s well worth the 12.99$ a month premium service. Pony up the 13$ or keep getting interrupted to some killer dead…and all the other amazing content here…and yes I need to man up and simply get off RUclips since I don’t care for their censorship
F*CK that.
Disco shit!
❤❤❤❤❤
Show me that setlist... no date or anyrhing.... just damn
This was Brent's blackbelt ceremony
1st show for me a couple weeks later Maine 10 bucks, never looked back TY 💥💥💥💥🚍🚍
