    The Romantic poet, William Wordsworth, was fascinated and influenced by the beauty of the daffodils, beside the lake, under the trees. He compares it to the stars and to the sparkling waves and in the end says that the memory of the daffodils gave him immense pleasure and joy when he was lonely or sad.
