During the Human and Forerunner war, humans were much much more genetically advanced than they currently are in the modern halo time era. After the Didact used the remainder of the humans that the librarian had stored on a Halo installation for his Promethean warriors to combat the flood, the librarian knew he had to be put down or else his conquest to destroy the flood would drive him insane (which it did). In Halo 4 the Librarian practically genetically modified chiefs DNA to match that of the humans state during the human/forerunner war. This was mainly so that Chief could not just be composed like any other human could, thus allowing him to actually fight the Didact. Not much is known though of how powerful they truly were at that point in time (must be much more advanced though to be able to combat the forerunners) so i'm sure 343 will unveil that in Halo 5: Guardians. Thumbs so others may understand. All you really have to do is pay close attention to the Terminal videos for Halo 4 and it will tell you all you need to know!
Skoop Halo 5:I released Fans: what other powers did the chief get Halo 5: powers? I don't have a clue what happened in halo 4 and I don't know how to write good dialogue, haha, PLAY THE CAMPAIGN
Thank you Eli for your help. Your walk through's are so helpful. I used you Legendary solo guide helped me so much and I was able to beat the campaign on legendary solo. Now this video was so helpful and now I beat a mission on Legendary LASO solo. Please keep making your walk through's for future halo games. You are the best. Thank you so much! :)
Bro, I'm replaying this on my Xbox One with the Master Chief Collection, and I kept getting a glitch where you have to destroy the Covenant Ship, I did it the first time and there was no Ship, then a second time and the ship would not destroy after doing it the normal way of going up the beam of green light to get onto the ship, but because of seeing what you did with the ship and jumping straight on there, it finally worked, thank you so much bro, I can't believe they haven't fixed that, I read a loads of complaints online concerning that particular part!!!! Thanks Again!!!! You made the game playable for me again!!! Nice Walkthrough too!!!!
Master Chief was genetically made in two ways, one from the Spartan Program, and as the librarian puts it, "Thousands lives of planning". What happened is that the librarian put a genetic program inside of Chief that wouldn't allow him to be composed, and other abilities(which are still to be found out). All the Forerunner had to do was to insert a password to this genetic program, and voilà. Super Chief.
Jason godly actually the di diact is the librarians husband and back during the human/forerunner war the di diact was attempting genetic mutation on himself to immunize himself from the flood but instead immunized himself from the composer the librarian did this gene mutation to the Chief so the di diact couldn't kill Chief with the composer
That's such lazy storytelling. Essentially, all it's saying is: We had super immunity instilled in him, him specifically, because we're forerunners and can see, know, and do everything about the future! We know this one guy is gonna be born long after we're dead, since we activated the rings and killed all of the flood and were obviously around to know that it worked, which it didn't, and specifically this guy will be selected from a program in the right time and nothing bad will happen to him, etc. It's like a fucking prophecy, it's convoluted and stupid it you actually stop and think about the story you're being told.
Thank you so much Eli. I just followed your guide exactly and finished a little over your time because I played it safe and took some time. Great guide man :)
I've heard that his DNA was altered to avoid composition, but other theories predict that Chief underwent significant physical changes as well, such as increased height. I also wonder how the Librarian didn't predict that humanity would encounter the Didact again after 100,000 years and why she didn't change everyone's DNA through evolution to avoid the old Composer.
Thanks for the guide Eli, it was pretty easy thanks to you, also, i tried putting in the code from the Halo Waypoint Website and it said "Locked - Complete the Campaign on Legendary with all Skulls on" So if it unlocked for you by just completing one mission then it was a glitch, you have to complete the whole campaign
Also if you observe master Chief next to the other characters carefully in the after credits ending, he's much taller now. Likely also due to the change. Even Palmer, who previously says he's not so tall, ends up staring up at him, noticing his increase in height. The engineers around him are starring up at him too.
Looks like I need to upload a few more LASO missions then! I'll try to upload in order of easiest to hardest: Shutdown, Dawn, Forerunner, Requiem, Composer, Infinity/ Midnight.
The code works as long as you do one mission on LASO (Mythic) difficulty. It also still counts if you turn the "Blind" Skull off. I personally did it on Shutdown, just because when got through the Reclaimer pacifist run, there was a glitch that rendered a side of the mountain you would have normally needed to climb invisible.
I understand that the Librarian states that what makes Chief immune to Composition is already in his DNA but is not yet active. So Chief still has the same DNA, but some of his "gifts" that the Librarian mentioned are now actually in play.
yes it does, the code is a LASO code after all. When you get the code it even says that you are lucky to be among the few who can fight on LASO, and that you are truly elite.
You can use this on Assault on the control room. The place where you press a button to get inside where there are about 4 elites 1 sword elite and grunts, you can do this to get through, but you have to ram into it. Once your in enjoy your stationary nonhostile enemies!
I found another glitch to this level. 6:17 in the video i got to this point and the ships came out immediately i did not need to fire second shot. From there i had the battle of my life. I killed 13 wraiths and an excessive amount of ghosts; still was not able to complete this section. Nak3d thanks for all the help in your videos...
The "superman" chief as you called him, was the Librarian giving him an ability to be protected against the composer, as you see when the doctors are killed by the composer and he isn't.
If you try to reach the ship jet packing before you destroy the 2nd particle canon it will go under the map and wil not allow you to reach it, if you did this and you feel like you are gonna fall just keep jet packing and reach the other side. Then you can jet pack back to try it again by going around the tall peak that is behind you and returning to try it again. Destroying the 2nd particle canon will spawn the ship even if it went under the map.
LASO code worked for me after just Reclaimer. I believe the following conditions need to be met to unlock the code: (a) complete the entire campaign on Legendary (tracked on waypoint); (b) complete any single mission on LASO (tracked on waypoint). I think it might also require all missions to be solo, or all co-op -- i.e., not a mix of the two. If you completed the campaign solo Legendary, just do Reclaimer SLASO and the code should work.
Not sure how she did it, but she accelerated the Master Chiefs Evolution. I think she said that when they were helping the evolution of the humans, she added a few extra genetic details that once fully activated would make them immune to the Composer.
It was an immunity to the Composer. If you notice, in Midnight, the Didact says "You have not been composed....". And I think the Librarian says something about it as well in the cutscene.
I completed shutdown first cos others on you tube said that's the mission they did too get the laso emblem, all i got when i entered the code was flashing red hexagons & a dissapointing feeling! Done dawn & requiem since still no embem. Nice work on your reclaimer run by the way!
Actually, she doesn't change his DNA, the immunity to the Composer is in his DNA (which was put in by the Librarian) but it's not developed enough, so the Librarian speeds up that process.
If I understand it, the librarian had dormant dna codes inserted, and the librarian basically unlocked them, and it made him immune to the digitization. Don't know super specifics but that's wha I got from it
Eli, you should also ask which mission if they were to do it with only completing one, because if it was the last one. The game may make the mistake of believing you beat the entire campaign with LASO.
The librarian said that before she documented humanity she added an immunity to the composer and she had to advance chiefs evolution so that the immunity to the composer took effect
Relating to Palmer's quote: In the LE of the game there is a letter written by Thorne which mentions that there is nothing much in the history books about Spartan IIs or IIIs, so a lot of what people heard about them has become legend. I think because of this, Palmer had in her mind that Chief would be like 8 feet tall and built like a Mantis or something. Plus, if you were to hear whispers of the legendary Master Chief 117 saving the universe (numerous times), you'd expect him to be massive.
The composer is a weaponized wet/dry barrier remover, aka it can forces whatever organic matter that's met by it to convert to digital code. Somehow the librarian changed the Chief's genes so that the frequency of the weapon doesn't work on him. Not sure how that's supposed to work, but then there's a reason they don't explain it.
Based upon the Greg Bear Forerunner Trilogy and the Terminals, it seems that the Librarian encoded some sort of gene into the human race that would allow humans to be immune to the composer's effects. This encoding probably took place after she imprisoned the Ur-Didact on Requiem. The Librarian Durance (At least I think it's a durance, not just a regular Ancilla) simply activated this gene in the Master Chief.
What actually happened was that before the Halo rings were fired, the Librarian, Didact's wife had indexed all sentient life for re-population and one part of the human gene allowed for humans to be immune to the composer (presumably because the Librarian was afraid the Didact would be freed and still go on with his insane plan of composing all humans) and so the part of the gene in the human body which essentially makes humans immune to the composer is in a hibernation like state and the Librarian simply 'woke' it up using her powers
the Liberian made him immune to the composer, which was test fired on the scientists on the ship on the next level. that's why he didn't die on the final cut-scene on the next level.
At the mid cut-scene in this mission, The Librarian accelerated chiefs biology to resist the composer. This is proved in the mission 'Composer' when the other humans are disintegrated by the composer while the Chief survives. Basically, Chief is now slightly more evolved than other humans to the point where the Didacts greatest weapon doesn't kill him. My guess is the scientists will try to replicate his acceleration to improve the Spartan IV's. Hope this helps.
she made it that the composer wont effect him, and it really does help because when they are at the base near installation 03 the composer almost kills the chief
I'm pretty sure, now this is my theory, that since the Librarian said she would accelerate the Chief's evolutionary journey to unlock the genesong placed within him, she aged him, which at that point would make him immune to the composer. Why I think she made him older is because he appeared elderly in the final cutscenes where his face is shown.
The librarian sped up johns evolution process which made him immune to the composer so since the diadacts most powerful weapon is the composer it helps him alot which is explained at the end of the level where your trying to prevent the diadact from taking the composer also known as the second last level hope this was helpful ^_^
It took me 6 tries to do the "tricky part." I don't know if anyone else noticed but there is an area inside the rock/wall thingy you can get caught on if you jet pack too soon or too much. That and simply not having enough jet pack to make to the other side was what messed me up so many times. That was just me practicing too.
perks depend on play style really, just go with what you feel works best/is most comfortable with your style. as for weapons DMR/light rifle, bolt shot, and frags are hands down the best way to go if you have decent aim and timing. for big team just swap the bolt shot for plasma pistol so you can stop vehicles.
the libraian planted seeds (genes) in the human race when it was replanted after the halos fiered which would eventualy lead up to master cheif but the didact awoke too early so she sped up the gene chain so he was imune to the composer.
Its because 343 use the campain engine for spartan ops, and since the spartans are smaller it would need a lot of changes and 343 probably had no time to make these changes so they made Master Chief the size of a spartan 4 in game. I was kind of annoyed when I saw elites were a lot taller than master chief unlike Halo 3.
Basically, the librarian changed chiefs genes, so jes technically not human, which is why in the mission 'the composer' when the scientists get turned into promethians, he survives.
the librarian, from what i understand, accelerated chiefs gene seed thing that she implanted in humanity, to give him powers that would only be available to the rest of humanity much later. we only know it gives him immunity to the composer, but it MIGHT give him the promethean mutation aswell, making him high as balls (See ending cutscene and compare him to palmer.. when chief first met palmer, they where about the same height.) I'm pretty sure more of these powers will be revealed in halo 5.
The librarian increased his evolution just like the way the didact devolved the ancient humans at the time of the forerunners still were in large population
So I've died at least 5 times right now doing that one jump through the rock wall, over the chasm to reach the area where the door is to find the librarian. Easy? Perhaps not.
the LASO code worked for my and my brother and we only completed the first mision in LASO, i think its a glitch but i´ll ask the friend I made the LASO with, and see if it also works for him. sorry for my english
But sometimes the Campaign challenges have two different sets of skulls. If what you say is correct, then I shouldn't have been able to get this weeks challenge that required Mythic, Tilt and Thunderstorm because I used the Tough Luck skull to hammer out the challenge on Reclaimer as well as the standard Heroic run.
These instructions weren't clear enough; Iasky fell off the mammoth, my squad got pregnant, and Noble Team died.
So did your squad have to give birth during all that plasma fire? Sounds kinda stressful.
So uh... I'm a little late to this video... by like 3 years, but um... Congrats to your squad, sorry for your loss, and I hope Lasky gets well soon
Oof
@@weewillywonka2716 Thank you, for doing this pacifist playthrough. These creatures are only following orders and are innocent of any wrongdoing.
She essentially enhanced his dna so he was immune to the composer and the didact couldnt use it to turn him into a promethean.
she unlocked his forerunner DNA cause us technically the iceo didactic, or whatever
I want to see a boss in halo 5 warzone: chief knight
Or knight Tillson
We might've already killed Tillson. She'd definitely be a Watcher though.
During the Human and Forerunner war, humans were much much more genetically advanced than they currently are in the modern halo time era. You & RC masters guides have made these easy. Thank you both, still gonna need composer, infinity & midnight though!

also this power can be seen by the dydak (the librarians old bf)

Jagar Platt Why'd you spell it like di diact? It's Didact.

Hmm I wonder if you can avoid dat
Now he has to start over again
And the liche then?
Thank you so much for this walk through. I would not have been able to complete this mission on LASO without this video
From what I know, she sped up his metabolic process to activate an immunity to the Composer in Chief's DNA.
SergeantKibbles doesn’t that mean he’s hungrier
Nak3d Eli and RC Master... You guys are legends in Halo..
Thank you so much Eli. I just followed your guide exactly and finished a little over your time because I played it safe and took some time. Great guide man :)

I don't care about the speed run as long as I beat it LASO.
Dude you're a goddamned legend! I've been wanting to solo Legendary, so I'll use this guide at a later date (with no skulls). Thanks a million!
Thanks for the guide Eli, it was pretty easy thanks to you, also, i tried putting in the code from the Halo Waypoint Website and it said "Locked - Complete the Campaign on Legendary with all Skulls on" So if it unlocked for you by just completing one mission then it was a glitch, you have to complete the whole campaign

thankls for that glitchy wall trick! in the previous run i had no clue how to jump to the small ledge: you are a lifesaver and thankyou!!!

Very impressive video and I enjoy your commentary greatly. Subscribed. Thank you!
if you are not doing this on laso but still following the guide at 6:18 is when you fire the particle cannon not when he does it the first time
I'll leave this note in the description, thanks! I wasn't aware of that, sorry you got screwed :/
Make a video
Cool run, interesting paths you took.
yes it does, the code is a LASO code after all. When you get the code it even says that you are lucky to be among the few who can fight on LASO, and that you are truly elite.
The ghost glitch through the shield was amazing and funny because you just pulled up to it and jumped out
You can use this on Assault on the control room. The place where you press a button to get inside where there are about 4 elites 1 sword elite and grunts, you can do this to get through, but you have to ram into it. Once your in enjoy your stationary nonhostile enemies!

5:00 Where have I seen that before? Hmm could it be Halo 1? I always use this trick on Assault on the Control Room.
The "superman" chief as you called him, was the Librarian giving him an ability to be protected against the composer, as you see when the doctors are killed by the composer and he isn't.

Code worked, all i've completed is Reclaimer, thanks for the guide Eli, made my day! ^.^
The Librarian gave Chief Forunner DNA . Thats how he survived the composers attack
LASO code worked for me after just Reclaimer. The whole chief Librarian thing is that she made him immune to the composers effects so he wouldn't be turned in to ash
Not sure how she did it, but she accelerated the Master Chiefs Evolution.
I think she said that when they were helping the evolution of the humans, she added a few extra genetic details that once fully activated would make them immune to the Composer.
I LOVE YOU NAK3D ELI V2 REALLY
i dont see any new laso videos or any comment is it true or not?
It was an immunity to the Composer. If you notice, in Midnight, the Didact says "You have not been composed....". And I think the Librarian says something about it as well in the cutscene.

No I'm not talking about skins im talking about the special abilities you get at the 10th rank of a specialization.
Don't know super specifics but that's wha I got from it
The librarian put in a gene-song which gives immunity to the composer and [REDACTED]
Eli, you should also ask which mission if they were to do it with only completing one, because if it was the last one. The game may make the mistake of believing you beat the entire campaign with LASO.
I don't know if you are still alive in 2021, but Great vids!
Somehow the librarian changed the Chief's genes so that the frequency of the weapon doesn't work on him. Not sure how that's supposed to work, but then there's a reason they don't explain it.
A little fun fact... You can still do the trench glitch that some had denied was impossible anymore.
The serum that master chief was given had been made by the librarian. She increased it to the point where he was immune to the composer.. somehow.
She made him immune to the composer and sped up his evolution to become a fighting force that could actually take on the Didact.
One tip for you Eli, you should first do the first mission in the campaign because you are now kinda going to put missions solo laso in random order.
I think, besides the immunity to Composition, the biology change will be play used later on in the Triology.
Based upon the Greg Bear Forerunner Trilogy and the Terminals, it seems that the Librarian encoded some sort of gene into the human race that would allow humans to be immune to the composer's effects. This encoding probably took place after she imprisoned the Ur-Didact on Requiem. The Librarian Durance (At least I think it's a durance, not just a regular Ancilla) simply activated this gene in the Master Chief.
an effort of an ascended legend gameplay style
What actually happened was that before the Halo rings were fired, the Librarian, Didact's wife had indexed all sentient life for re-population and one part of the human gene allowed for humans to be immune to the composer (presumably because the Librarian was afraid the Didact would be freed and still go on with his insane plan of composing all humans) and so the part of the gene in the human body which essentially makes humans immune to the composer is in a hibernation like state and the Librarian simply 'woke' it up using her powers
As countless others have said, the Librarian altered Chief;s biology, so the Composer would not recognize him as human.
the Liberian made him immune to the composer, which was test fired on the scientists on the ship on the next level. that's why he didn't die on the final cut-scene on the next level.
It's Librarian...
You need to to the very last checkpoint of the last mission on LASO to get the code working.
The librarian makes it so he is able to resist being composed so he is not insenerated when the diadact fires the beam
I thought the Librarian sped up Chiefs evolution, thats why Chief is taller at the end ...and not just gave him immunity
The Librarian speed up Chiefs evolution, pretty much evolving him to the next stage that humanity had to take.
The librarian added some forerunner DNA to master chief so he could survive the composer attack
Chief's DNA contained an Immunity to the composer but it had to be unlocked, so the Librarian unlocked it for him in the cutscene.
thanks so much for the guide. I didnt do it on LASO but i did do it to get the weekly campaign challange which was still good.
Librarian planted genetic memory in the human race, along with immunity to the composer it's likely that some dormant memories were also unlocked.
I've read you only have to beat Midnight on LASO to get the code to work.
The librarian sped up johns evolution process which made him immune to the composer so since the diadacts most powerful weapon is the composer it helps him alot which is explained at the end of the level where your trying to prevent the diadact from taking the composer also known as the second last level hope this was helpful ^_^
LASOfist
The librarian makes master chief immune to composition and cannot become a night
Master Chief's evolution was accelerated and gave him an immunity to the Composer.
No the librarian gave him immunity to the composer.
The librarian gave the chief immunity to being turned into a overpowered motherfucking enemy.
What a gift
perks depend on play style really, just go with what you feel works best/is most comfortable with your style. as for weapons DMR/light rifle, bolt shot, and frags are hands down the best way to go if you have decent aim and timing. for big team just swap the bolt shot for plasma pistol so you can stop vehicles.
the libraian planted seeds (genes) in the human race when it was replanted after the halos fiered which would eventualy lead up to master cheif but the didact awoke too early so she sped up the gene chain so he was imune to the composer.
YAAAY thanks you so much, I only have two more missions on regular legendary til I complete the campaign legendary commendation :)
the Librarian evolved Cheif's cells and gave him the power of an ancient human from 100,000 years ago. She also gave him an imunity to the composer
Damn did this in 20 minutes with this guide. Nice Vid
That is not the Didact's ship, it's the Gravity Well generator.
I left those plasmas for you Eli! I got you covered buddy.
Hey Eli where is all the previous and next videos, r we supposed to do it our selves
The shield door glitch is like the forklift throught the wall glitch on Nightfall in Halo Reach. that was my first speedrun mission
Basically, the librarian changed chiefs genes, so jes technically not human, which is why in the mission 'the composer' when the scientists get turned into promethians, he survives.
the librarian, from what i understand, accelerated chiefs gene seed thing that she implanted in humanity, to give him powers that would only be available to the rest of humanity much later. we only know it gives him immunity to the composer, but it MIGHT give him the promethean mutation aswell, making him high as balls (See ending cutscene and compare him to palmer.. when chief first met palmer, they where about the same height.)
I'm pretty sure more of these powers will be revealed in halo 5.
The Librarian made Chief immune to the composer so he can defeat the Didact (Bornstellar) without being reduced to a pile of ash.
The glitch through the shield is like the forklift glitch from halo reach brought the gate
yes but in the video he states someone did it with one mission so i tested it and put it in the comments as requested
The librarian increased his evolution just like the way the didact devolved the ancient humans at the time of the forerunners still were in large population
So I've died at least 5 times right now doing that one jump through the rock wall, over the chasm to reach the area where the door is to find the librarian. Easy? Perhaps not.
Eli, you're a saint
the LASO code worked for my and my brother and we only completed the first mision in LASO, i think its a glitch but i´ll ask the friend I made the LASO with, and see if it also works for him.
sorry for my english
But sometimes the Campaign challenges have two different sets of skulls. If what you say is correct, then I shouldn't have been able to get this weeks challenge that required Mythic, Tilt and Thunderstorm because I used the Tough Luck skull to hammer out the challenge on Reclaimer as well as the standard Heroic run.
Best loadout is pretty much preference so pick what ever you like peoples playstyles are different.
the thing that the libreian does saves him from dying from the composer like the humans die from it in the 2 last mission
