He can now...but as a former skateboarder, trust me, you'll start to pay for it. I was lucky because my knees were pretty bad for a few years & seem to have healed a bit. It's tough because it sure was fun, & great exercise, but is also hard on the body.

Land with most of the pressure on your toes instead of your heels. Landing on your heels is what destroys your knees and back.
Correct falling is the first thing you should learn in most sports. I'm pretty sure this will still take a toll longterm though.
