Apparantely the new film will be based off the “Long Halloween” comic book so i doubt its gonna be an origin story, the closest thing to his origins will probably a small scene of his parents getting shot again. But overall, i doubt it will be another origin story.

Humayun Kabir perfect for Batman. Rich man vibes, playboy vibes, Bruce Wayne is an alcoholic, playboy rich orphan, I think Robert Pattinson perfectly fits that role. Not to mention to match with that Joker from Joaquin Phoenix, and also sensing from Gotham tv series DC has been trying to make the villains look more deep and meaningful and bring the mafia and Gotham city’s understory into the limelight as well. Just like comics. In contrast to Marvel, DC wants to go more adult oriented and R rated because Batman fans are now grown ups to see meaningful stories.
I have a mixed feelings about this. I think he looks twisted enough to potray batman character, which I consider as a plus point. In the other hand, I can't move on from Christian Bale's batman. Still the best Batman, I suppose.

I don’t think any actor who’s played Batman has been “bad”. I think Michael Keaton’s version wasn’t who Batman is but he defined the role at the beginning which made Batman dark again after the stupid 60’s tv show which then gave us things like Batman: The Animated Series. Val Kilmer was ok, George Clooney isn’t the problem with that movie let’s just say that, Christian Bale was the best live action Batman, Ben Affleck was one of the things that could’ve worked in the DCEU. So I don’t think Pattinson is a bad choice at all, especially considering that Batman is usually the least interesting character in his stories & movies with the exception of the first Tim Burton Batman & Batman Begins.

The reason he looks so much like Edward Cullen in this trailer is because Metropolis was filmed at the height of The Twilight Phenomenon. The Metropolis clips were used in the making of this concept. I think he's got the edginess to do Batman. Plus he's aged a bit more. He's no longer a Stephanie Meyer character. Check out some of his other work. He may surprise you.

Humayun Kabir perfect for Batman. Rich man vibes, playboy vibes, Bruce Wayne is an alcoholic, playboy rich orphan, I think Robert Pattinson perfectly fits that role. Not to mention to match with that Joker from Joaquin Phoenix, and also sensing from Gotham tv series DC has been trying to make the villains look more deep and meaningful and bring the mafia and Gotham city’s understory into the limelight as well. Just like comics. In contrast to Marvel, DC wants to go more adult oriented and R rated because Batman fans are now grown ups to see meaningful stories.

I have a mixed feelings about this. I think he looks twisted enough to potray batman character, which I consider as a plus point. In the other hand, I can't move on from Christian Bale's batman. Still the best Batman, I suppose.

I think Bale's was good, but I still cringe when I hear him do his "over-the-top" demon voice or whatever that was in the costume. Clooney was by far the worst, and i think Michael Keaton deserves some credit as 1 of the best. For a 90s movie he did amazing.

I don’t think any actor who’s played Batman has been “bad”. I think Michael Keaton’s version wasn’t who Batman is but he defined the role at the beginning which made Batman dark again after the stupid 60’s tv show which then gave us things like Batman: The Animated Series. Val Kilmer was ok, George Clooney isn’t the problem with that movie let’s just say that, Christian Bale was the best live action Batman, Ben Affleck was one of the things that could’ve worked in the DCEU. So I don’t think Pattinson is a bad choice at all, especially considering that Batman is usually the least interesting character in his stories & movies with the exception of the first Tim Burton Batman & Batman Begins.

The reason he looks so much like Edward Cullen in this trailer is because Metropolis was filmed at the height of The Twilight Phenomenon. The Metropolis clips were used in the making of this concept. I think he's got the edginess to do Batman. Plus he's aged a bit more. He's no longer a Stephanie Meyer character. Check out some of his other work. He may surprise you.
