Today, I thought of sharing one of the simplest things we do in our daily life, drinking tea! However, the reason why I wanted to share this video is because this tea called the Rooibos tea is more powerful than I first thought it was. If you are interested to know what this tea had done to me and my thoughts about it, then please watch this video until the end and you will also see all the other good effects of this tea to our bodies. I have been drinking rooibos tea since I was a child it was first given to me by my grandmother when we come back from school I still drink rooibos tea everyday now that I'm in my 30's it is the first thing I drink before I go to work in the morning

I have drunk Rooibos/Red Bush Tea for a number of years now and won’t touch normal tea anymore. Due to me having ADHD, ASD, BPD, Cerebral Palsy, Deppression and Anxiety, I wanted to eliminate Caffeine altogether, be it tea or coffee for the benefit of both my mental and physical health. When I make a cup/mug of Rooibos I always put a splash of Oat Milk into it.
Everybody drinks it all the time in SA. (I was even put to bed with a bottle of chilled rooibos milk tea as a baby). It's great with a slice of lemon and some honey for a cold or a dry or sore throat. Or with a splash of milk or cream for a luxurious cup before bed.
It also does great as a base for a fruity iced tea. Orange, lemon, mint, and a number of other fruits are all great toppers. Sweetened with honey or other natural sweeteners instead of plain sugar wherever possible.
Cris, you could try Hibiscus tea which is a herbal. We grow Hibiscus calyces in the backyard and when ready, we picked, clean and boil the calyces. The add sugar and various flavors then add ice; It is delicious. This is one of the juices' we make every Christmas season in the Caribbean. I only recently starting drinking it as a tea without adding anything. You should definitely be able to find it where you are.
Yes thank you for this.. I remembered back in the days, I enjoyed hibiscus tea and it also has some soothing and relaxing effects on me.. And mint tea is my pick me up kind of beverage. 😁👍

I didn't like it with sugar, without it was fine but I quickly added sugar and it made it very bad.

Can someone please help me with answering some questions? I bought Rooibos tea to try and the information given says it is like a sweet woodsy nutty flavor. So when I bought it the 1st time. It seemed more like a citrus flavor. So I thought it might be bad. So I tried to buy a different brand and it taste the same as the first. Is it supposed to have a pine-like citrus flavor or not? Because I don't know if I am getting bad tea or not. It seems like it is more like an "earl grey," but less strong/weaker in potency.
For me, it kinda have that earl grey taste indeed. A little woody if it's fresh flowers used.. But a little bit citrusy if its the dried ones
Try rooibos Laarger brand. Affordable and tasty. It may seem Abit citrus depends your buds.
It tastes very distinctive, but you could compare it to black tea (probably because of fermentation) and for me it also has something reminiscent of vanilla.
Sometimes it's blended with citrus aroma, but it should say so on the packaging.
Rooibos and Damiana are my favourite teas, Damiana is my favourite for stress. Valerian is also nice for anxiety. Red bush is nice alternative to black tea :D. If I visit star bucks I want to try their rooibos latte.

My aviation instructor recommended rooibos tea for hormonal balance and debloating the face. Definitely helps with my pcos.
So if you're in av and need to stick to the grooming standards, take this tip from a purser/senior cabin crew member. (Not me but my instructor)

Sorry, I only tried lipton tea 😆 i am loving it. Other than that I want to try the rooibos. But I'm kinda scared about the smell. I tried the chamomile tea. However, the smell for me is so strong that it had trigger my migraine. So here are my questions: how does rooibos tea smell, is it like chamomile? How about the taste, does it seem like green tea? Thank you so much. 🙏
And by the way I also like adding milk on my tea. I'm kinda addicted to it. It's like cheap "milk tea" from Macao Imperial 😂 minus the sago and cream cheese.
It doesn't smell like chamomile nor green tea. Is more like an earth(ish) smell, but quite discreet, unlike chamomile for example. And as for the taste, is not like green tea, is not bitter at all, is quite tasty without anything added to it, but if you add something sweet to it its much tasteful.
Hello, so sorry for the super late reply.. I agree Ursu that it does taste unique and pleasant without even having to put anything with it. But I always add milk to any of my teas and a bit of sugar or honey too. (just a personal preference)...But I've tried this with no add-ons and it's just amazingly enjoyable.. :)

Rooibos is a earthy slightly sweet smell but definitely not overwhelming at all
As for the taste it's slightly floral,nutty and fruity but very smooth especially with abit of milk and honey (I would recommend rapeseed honey). I find its best having before bed or just having it on a rest day, It keeps me relaxed

Can't stand red bush. If you've never had anything better maybe you get the taste for it, but it doesn't compare to proper tea. Aside from that it TAINTS EVERYTHING. Store it near anything and it will taint it.
On the other end, I don't much like any 'proper' teas, except green tea. It all tastes pretty terrible to me. Pretty much every other herbal tea is great. The best, of course, is rooibos.
