Hey Tony, listening to you took me back down memory lane. Between the COMPTON SWAPMEET and the ROADIUM man those were the days. 1986 mobbing thru my neighborhood bumping. Much Love from The HUB CITY...Gracias Tony for your music
*Eastside Low Bottoms sh*t !* _Tappin' in from South Central LA_ Salute to Tony A. I know he has STORIES ! The documentary sounds very interesting. Seems like something that deserves a wider platform...like Netflix. Thanks again Soren. 🤜🏾💥🤛🏾
Didn't know Breakdown was his first mixtape under Steve...putting that info in the data bank! Tony A is legendary not only on the West Coast but on a personal level to my life. I was just a kid who worked right next to Steves booth at the Roadium!! Thank you Soren for the interview!!
I had a single cassette tape one year when i went to some camp ... We had a radio and only that tape.... I know that song from top to bottom .. true classick... Props to Tony A...
We thought 2nd II None AMG and Hi-C was all Quiks acts. AMG did blow up off that Bitch Betta Have My Money. In my hood we actually played 2nd II Nones 1st. Album heavy.
All facts I remember alll them mix tapes, I useto ride RTD all the way from my section lincoln heights to the rodium just to the first one in my hood to have the newest rap bumping in my boom box!

That's wassup bruh, great interview with Tony A, I got that tape when it first came out, I'm a fan of that whole crew the DJ Quik AMG Hi-C also Tony A an 2nd 2 None good to hear some the behind the scenes stuff and some the problems or issues between the guy's but man when they all on track together always a slapper
The Legend Tony-A and Hi-C, just want to say that I got the skinless album when it came out and it was one of the best albums out there at the time and I'm in the UK, the album still gets nuff airplay today it's a favourite of mine I also have the 12's from the album so nuff respect due to Tony-A and Hi-C and I'm shocked it didn't get gold certification because its platinum to me and my people . I'm 51 and it's still up there with the bet of them.....peace 5000g
I have to admit, this is one of the nicest interviews with facts for the public. Some homies in this platform despite my respect for what they contributed on the past are boring as hell, stubborn cats that nobody cares nowadays. Peace Out ✌🏼

I have to disagree with him saying it is impossible to use 4 turntables at once! I did it for over ten years making live mixtapes in one shot recordings to cassette tape! I’ve seen others do this as well. I guess you just weren’t quick enough 🎣to use 4 turntables🤷🏾♂️
