Ahh the nights sleeping in the back watching the stars thru the giant skylight. Thanks for showing the rear hatch because nobody else making cuda videos does. 👍
G,day mate, Rick from Australia here. That's a Beautiful machine ya got there. I own a 65 Cuda Commando V8. It's got all the fruit, factory A/C , Pwr/Steer, 4barrel,dual point dizzy, solid cam, domed pistons 10.5:1 comp, extra vacuum reservoir, formula S suspension and exhaust. It's missing only the stripes and tacho to be a Formula S. Mine's a long way from being like yours, i hope a can achieve an excellent result just like yours. Great video work, nice walkaround. Cheers Rick from Oz........
273s, great motor, was in an essentially same car, (not mine) got into a race with an Austin Healey Sprite with av 283 4 bbl & powerglide and beat i t!!! Worked as a mechanic at a Chry-Plym dealership 65-66, am old! Also once drove a new 65 , 426 hemi drag car, 3.54 rear end on a very straight country road. Swear at about 150 (on speedo) you could turn the wheel lock to lock and it would still go straight, positive frontal air pressure, but dammit, a hell of an experience!!!
I had a 64 Plymouth Barracuda and I love that car I wish I still had it now at a at 273 Commando 4 speed synchronized gears semi posi rear end Engine with built on the inside look normal on the outside about 11 second machine and a quarter
It's easy to forget that the hot muscle car Barracuda started out as just a dorky Valiant with a fastback, but seeing this granny dashboard is a reminder-- SO spartan, almost like a truck. HOW COULD YOU sell it? I never would have. Phenomenal car, looks & sounds almost new.
I bought one of those colored silver with a black interior, in the late seventies. I bought it with a bent frame of which caused the vehicle to pull quite strongly right. It wasn't an S, having only the 2-barrel. But it was still a very memorable car with plenty of charachter of which, now that this video flashbacks it all, I should have kept and have had the frame straightened. Back then, it wasn't difficult to go get a 340 to drop into it and then bolt on a set of headers. That would've made it quite a pocket rocket. This one videoed only has single exhaust, making all of that big noise 😂
I bought a 66 with a 180 horse 2bbl, back in the 80's, had everything a Formula S has except the HP engine. The car had plenty of power. I have heard the 180 is more streetable. Torque is down low, and doesn't have the solid lifters to keep adjusted. It is a good engine.

What a memory I have just experienced, I remember my brother in law bought one before going to Vietnam, same color with a 273 commando souped up 4sp

Valliant fastback rules!!! Cook a roast under that back glass on the way to the dragstrip.

The seller sounds like he's in pretty bad shape, healthwise. He probably needs cash, in order to get proper therapy or medicine

Muy lindo auto,el encendido electrónico se lo pusiste vos? O venía de fabrica ya en el año 65?
Sweet. Impeccable actually...
That would be a cool car to do an electric vehicle conversion on. I would call it the EV under glass.
4:06 is that a real AM radio station?? I didn't know they still had any.
Repaint job? Very well done. I'm sure you got your price.
