I'm both a HMMWV & Hummer mechanic. Marine & Civilian. I guess my work could be play. I love what you guys do. All the videos provide hours of entertainment. Huge thumbs up. Personally i wish we had some toys like your guys have. Rear wheel steering Hell Yeah!!! Drone usage is AWESOME Keep doing what you do.
Not everybody can master the Moab with vehicles the size of the Humvee. For that, I take my hat off. What I noticed looking back, is that the driver, Mark, was learning fast on what to do in different situations. When for instance, to use lockers. Great series and I'm looking forward to new series.
Nice stuff, guys. Some of the drone shots were particularly stunning. One of the first videos I've seen that begins to capture how big, steep and tough the obstacles are. I'm a Jeep guy and have run all those trails before. It's really cool to see the different lines your vehicles take to conquer the trail.
Such a great series! Way cool. I'm both a Jeep fan and a Hummer fan. Own one of each. Granted, an H2 and a Grand Cherokee are shadows of an H1 and a Rubicon. I'm totally impressed that you all made it up those goat trails in H1's.
I've been watching your videos and I have to say you should be at over 100k subscribers with over 100k views per video. You've got an amazing channel. You haven't been found yet on RUclips.
Thanks dude, appreciate it! Just doing it for fun, once my truck is up and running again we’ll put some more videos up. H1s and HMMWVs are a niche, so I’m not too surprised. Thank you for watching and the comment! Merry Christmas dude!
I'd like to start off first with saying, I love your video's. I'm a huge off-road enthusiast as well and I genuinely appreciate all the effort and hard work that yall put into making such great quality video's. Secondly, I just noticed that the Maroon rig had rear-wheel steering kit and I was curious on whether the owner/operator custom fabricated it or purchased it; and in that case who makes that for the H1? Anyways, keep on rollin, I can't wait till you come out with another short video series! You guys should come checkout the trails up here in New England!
+HumveeLife I know it might be kind of vague but your editing is superb! The voice over work is spot on! All of your videos are some of the best and most well put together I've seen. As far as my favorite part of this video, I have to say the "Jeep Life". Jeeps seem to be an obligatory part of all off-road videos, but the somewhat condescending execution is priceless! I don't understand why you don't have way more subscribers. Keep up the awesome work dude, we need more videos of this caliber on RUclips!!
Looking at getting a hummer, why does marks wagon seem to have such a hard time getting over the obstacles? What's everybody else running that his doesn't have?
Thank you for the awesome videos! One day I would love to join your group on an off-road trip to MOAB or somewhere else. I don't own a Humvee or H1 yet, but I definitely will within the next few years, at which point you'll be hearing from me. Real quick, whats your opinion(s) on purchasing one of these GovPlanet military Humvees for ~$5k, vs an H1? I would prefer an H1, but they seem to be still quite expensive on Ebay, got any suggestions? Keep up the great videos!
As long as your springs aren't sagging, 38". I have seen and talked with some guys that run 39.5 Iroks without a lift. 40s won't fit. There is always the possibility you might hit the hood or fender. I used to have 38s, they never did hit.
well done videos. and while I am not a fan of the hummer y'all did great. and the jeep life section was great I almost sptt my tea laughing. and yes I am prefer jeeps. lol
Yes and no. They can have AC units from Red Dot Corporation which makes a very good number of units that are way better than the civilian model HVACs. The best part about the Red Dots and a HMMWV, you can pretty much mount it anywhere. With that said, it is unlikely to get a HMMWV from a government auction with a Red Dot unit inside, but you never know! Check out the HummerMarketplace as they often have HMMWVs that show up for sale - www.hummermarketplace.com/viewforum.php?f=55 Let us know if we can be of any more help!
Not gonna lie, I'd so want to have the Humvee rig if there was ever such a thing as a zombie apocalypse. Got the random thought with the Humvee that had the License plate which said, "Zombie". Of course, they have super crappy gas mileage so, I imagine they'd be the bomb ass dawg for the first day then you'd have a lawn ornament.
Nice. Those vehicles don't seems very comfortable in mud, is it right ? I would like to have your opinion about the reliability of a stock H1 ? How is it compared to Toyota Land Cruiser, Jeep Wranglers or Land Rover Defender ? Differential and lockers seems to have a lot of torque to handle Good continuation from France.
Hey Johan! Thanks for watching! On your first question about mud, the H1s and HMMWVs handle very well. The weight helps them with that. The tricky part is the comparison of the Wranglers, Defenders, Land Cruisers, ect. Keep in mind the H1 is made 100% to be a military HMMWV when it was being made, and then it's diverted to the civilian side to get a nicer interior, 12v electronics vs 24v and so on. So like the Unimog, it's hard to compare to a Jeep or Landrover offroad as they are all different classes of vehicles. A quick example is the difference in weight between a Jeep and H1. A Jeep is light and can quickly run up a hill, but that can cause problems. An H1 (GVR 10,300Lbs) is pretty heavy and will lumber slowly up the hill, but have little danger of tipping or flipping. Speed would be the greatest difference. In terms of cost I can't compare but all 4x4 trucks seem to wear parts faster. I do about 98% of the work on my own truck and save a lot. We might have to make a video to better answer your question!
HumveeLife Yes, you're right they are all different class of vehicle, but still off roaders in my mind, that's why I was asking this question. Thank you very much for your answers and all those precisions. In France, we don't have H1, or they are really really expansive. And with the ecologic question, I think I'll never be able to get a H1 unfortunately. Have a good day and thanks again.
what's the ecological question? Emissions or fuel consumption? Emission wise I believe you'd be good. Fuel-wise...well, let's just say we don't buy our trucks knowing they'll get good mileage lol! Though, because it's a diesel the engine will live longer than a typical gas or electric due to effeciency.
HumveeLife No I talk about political decisions about some kind of vehicles here in France. We have very restrictive limitations about emissions. And it's going worse and worse by the time. If I want to buy a pre-owned H1, what are the things to look at before buying it in your opinion ? Thanks
I have just a last question, I've found a H1 at a very attractive price, but it's the 190hp engine. 190 Hp seems very low to move this heavy trucks. What are your opinions about this engine, is it worth it for a general off road usage ? Thanks again
Like the video but the I gotta laugh at the guy with the don't tread on me tags....He pays the government extra to tell the government he doesn't like to be taxed.
That looks like a heck of a fun trip!!! Thanks for taking the time to put this video together to share with all of us.
I'm both a HMMWV & Hummer mechanic. Marine & Civilian.

Rear wheel steering Hell Yeah!!!
Drone usage is AWESOME
Keep doing what you do.
The amount of bump steer in this is crazy. Must be some hard parts and regular bushing swaps going on. Amazing they make it where they do.

thank you! When we release this season's footage compare the driving between last year's and this year's. Good eye!

Really nice I love all the episodes, this channel deserves way more subscribers and views.
Thank you for the inspiring and kind words bud! We'll get there as word gets out!
All episode of Humveelife very cool sticking together a FAMILY.
awsome video once again, love the H1 with the rear staring!
It is pretty sweet, Camera Craig really wants to get it for his truck. Ben's black truck (Alpha) also has rear steering.
+HumveeLife would love to have that upgrade on my T. lol
Such a great series! Way cool. I'm both a Jeep fan and a Hummer fan. Own one of each. Granted, an H2 and a Grand Cherokee are shadows of an H1 and a Rubicon. I'm totally impressed that you all made it up those goat trails in H1's.
Thank you for the videos guys Great job as always ( I like that white h1 with soldiers on it )
I have a whole new respect for those machines, as well as the drivers. Well done

There some some great shots in this clip. I love Moab!
We do too! Thank you bud!
Nice video thank you so much, h1 hard to fix , I was working in a workshop for h1
I don't care what anyone says, I love Humbee's! I've ran Kane Creek before in a full size Yukon, that is a tight trail!
Right on man! Kane Creek is pretty awesome, I look forward to going back and hopefully taking my own truck next time. - Camera Craig
Awesome video I'm in love with all your cars and omg the jeep part lol I mean jeeps are cool but h1 and humvees are badass!!!
Great video! Hope to see you guys there in September!
We'll be there late Sept!
We will be there from the 13th to the 24
We'll arrive early morning of the 25th and be in town till Oct 1st.

This is so cool. I go to Moab every year but I'm on a dirtbike
what a great landscape.
Bravo Sir!! Great video!!!
Thank you dude! What was your favorite part?

Looking at getting a hummer, why does marks wagon seem to have such a hard time getting over the obstacles? What's everybody else running that his doesn't have?
Better drivers.
This guy sounds like Optimus Prime giving his monolog at the end of the movie!
maybe it is!

any plans for H3's
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! how much lift are they running? my H1 will be delivered to me in a week, and I can't wait, I would love to do stuff like that 👍👍
the lifts varied from truck to truck. Body lifts, suspension lifts or both.
and we're glad you love the videos! The next series is coming soon!
what's the biggest tire I can run without a lift?
As long as your springs aren't sagging, 38". I have seen and talked with some guys that run 39.5 Iroks without a lift. 40s won't fit. There is always the possibility you might hit the hood or fender. I used to have 38s, they never did hit.
alright. what are they using to achieve 4 wheel steer? is there a kit?
looking forward to 2016 vids
well done videos. and while I am not a fan of the hummer y'all did great. and the jeep life section was great I almost sptt my tea laughing. and yes I am prefer jeeps. lol
thanks Brian!
"...and we got the cool Jeeps too!"
do any of the military surplus have a/c and heat?
Yes and no. They can have AC units from Red Dot Corporation which makes a very good number of units that are way better than the civilian model HVACs. Absolutely, but it was an opportunity Camera Craig couldn't pass up!

Wssa aventura foi legal,gostei.
Essa aventura foi legal,gostei.
my love hummer
Feedback: just because you can enter sound effects does not mean you should. Calm down a bit. The trucks speak for themselves.
cool

Great) I am from Russia and in my country they like big off-road cars
