I had my primary go on me. A sneaky trick to get it to release your belt to start if you have no one to help hold your back end up is: Stick a tool (screw driver wrench something straight and solid) put it between your secondary and the belt rotate the belt around the secondary forcing and pulling the belt deeper into the primary. It released for me and I was able to start it up. Something that worked for me when I was in a pinch. Keep on the gas and when slowing burp the gas you might get out with out having to re free your primary 4 or 5 times depending on how far out you are. Keep ripping brap brapppp
Funny that's exactly how my son Brought my XF home a couple weeks ago. Wouldn't kick shut...cracked 3 spots. Buddy lifted it up to start and he drove in high gear home.
Why do these new sleds have clutch issues... I had a 97 mountain max 700 and also a thundercat 1000 with insane amounts of time on both and never had a clutch issue or even ever a blown belt.. drive chain bearing came apart on the Yamaha one time only issue

Camaro69 Green in my experience, I've spent nearly $1000 in parts this season alone for my cat. Both clutches blowing up, on separate rides, the secondary being aftermarket already, belt, drive chain breaking, drive pins rounded out. Granted it's a 2000, but the most unreliable sled I've ever seen. Switched to skidoo, and by the looks of it, I won't be going back.

If you guys are riding in low snow things get hot. An old belt can get stuck down in the primary. Its not necessary the clutch but maybe an old worn out belt? Don't blame the clutch all the time. I know these things.
@@syxxes So you Kick IT????? Dude really. Maintenance?? I get it..... kick if you have to get it broke free if that's what works. If that is the case then it's worn out with many miles.

2014 and up Cat clutches are pretty much bullet proof..... I have a stock 14 M8 LE. Like yours. Check deflection.
12-15 have the same primary, they changed the secondary in 14 and then both to Team clutches in 16

The clutch is stuck shut. The problem is the clutch: From an Arctic Cat, Cat Master Mechanic

Here go!
Shaunie and the Naked Turbo, the best that sled has run in 2 years :)
Why no turbo?
@@gentilejoshsaved1646 It never ran properly. All Shaunie ever did was fix things.
Yeah, it runs awesome without that turbo! I'm proud of the old machine!
Bubbles is my fav then ricky

Too painful for me to watch! I love riding, but its almost car season here. So I will leave my sleds covered up in the garage til December.
How far away from the idaho border are u guys I'm only 45 min away from the Alberta border
The boarder is probably a 4-5 hour drive
If your buddies aren’t having a beer in the truck are you really in Canada?

Justin Girard 14 and up sleds clutches are amazing but any older are garbage
Yup. This will be my second one in a row over two years. Blew one last year too.
Lol tell that to my 16 with a blown primary

Never know!
Nice video guys! Always look forward to the ride and or at least something breaking.
You're in luck. We break things all the time.
Syxxes Performance YA Almost, GO Team Shaunie!!!!🤩
Syxxes Performance YA Almost, Not Team Shaunie!!🤩
Shoulda slapped the alpha primary on and kept riding
Sounded more like conky than Bubbles 🍻
No offense, but the guy who thought the water in that brook was deep enough to "catch ya" makes Bob and Doug MacKenzie sound like Canadian Einsteins.
How long was the drive to the 2020 snowmobile snow?
Was about 2.5 hours.
Don’t have any snow for the m1100 turbo
Only 16" snow in hills/ bush now. Trail fucked here.
Quads n dirt bikes now
Yup here in Alberta the riding is over.
Why r u wearing ur seat belt??
👍👍💯
Alaska has some snow still wondering around!
We just got the last of ours all up high. Trails are toast on the low end.
