Satisfying to watch how no less amount of energy is put into video production process, while all the hard work is going. I mean like “wait a minute, brother, let me have the camera moved to this angle” and stuff… And those tiny community introductions are just a very nice touch so we could have some more context.
westport wa.state usa. here and watching. i thank you for bring me along. brings back nightmares. did that to a 48 dodge 2 ton dump. what a job. just me and an engine hoist. i did buy one huge air impact gun. and a vary loud compressor. two weeks later. tada! it was a 4 speed with a browning 3 speed behind. put a cadillac pump with a small pulley. and never had any problems with the brake. did not even have to pump them. first time every time. oh, into it for 500 dollars. 30 years ago. truck is long gone but the memories still haunt me. and the laughs. good times.
'REO' big carrier 'Pumpkin'. Ball peined sandwich layer to keep the flavor of the contents fresh and contained.... The trials and tribulations of the Third Member Trio. Tiny taps and vein popping twists dismantled the giant to reveal dinosaur juice from, no doubt, the first oil well in recorded history. A new set of painted clothes for the old fella.. good as new! Forest engineering techniques at their very best. Well done, gentlemen.👍👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you, DIff! You are doing a great job on that old REO truck. I know Thanksgiving is a United States Holladay, But I wish everyone could set aside a day for their own Thanksgiving.
I realy enjoyed the lesson at around 18:17 when you guys were hammering out the holes in the paper with a ball peen hammer. That's a neat, I hadn't seen that before. Thanks for the lesson!
A tip from an old plant fitter 😁 when trying to remove rear hub's put the half shaft back on but flange to the studs first and bolt on you then have the length of the half shaft to act as a lever comes off every time 😁😁🤘🤘
The bare foot mechanic has gone top shelf with now he becomes the well-heeled mechanic. (For a little while anyway) Got to love that laugh. When making gaskets, a ball bearing can be used to cut the holes too. Works well.
Thank you Div . For the holiday wishes The old girl is looking great getting everything painted nicely.Aee you going to paint the cab to I know how you like to rock the rust. But this baby needs to be back to her glory days. I looked up your truck to find some info on her and the info lead me right back to you being one of 3 people in the world who has a Gold line truck restored. So as you do her under chassis maybe you should paint her top half to only by the perspective that you are 1 of 3 who own one 😂. can't wait to see her finished have a lekka one Div and your whole crew too.
@@ratrodsafrica that's what it said I didn't put your name in I was researching it and that's all I could find I kept going over it and your name popped up and it said you were the only one in South Africa that had one then I found one in Colorado and one in Montana and it was said to be only 3 in the world that were restored.. it showed what they looked like and yours seemed to have a different front end and grill but it was similar now I don't know if there are that many out there but if people who have them don't input it on an antique forum then they can't be counted. So I hope you have a good mine there you guys take care.
you are lucky to have good friends to help you diff you are making a fabulous job it will be a new truck when you are finished doing your magic to it looking foward to your next video have a good one until next time
Awesome afternoon brother from another country another awesome adventure as always great to see you again brother I enjoy every moment of your videos you are truly a craftsman among craftmen
The arthritis in my feet is playing up just watching bare feet on a concrete floor. 40 years ago I could have done it too. Best wishes to your team from Australia.
That’s looking awesome my friend. You got some good friends over there. It was funny watching and listening to you guys interact with each other. Fun times! Keep up the great work.
Thanks fo the happy thanksgiving brother. And that heavy part we call a senator section / hog head / third member / ring and pinyen . Love the old truck buddy keep jamming

Me han traído recuerdos de m i infancia cuando acompañaba a mi padre a los talleres, el era camionero y la mecánica era exactamente coo lo han hecho. Saludos desde Argentina. They have brought back memories of my childhood when I accompanied my father to the workshops, he was a truck driver and the mechanics were exactly as you have done. Greetings from Argentina.
Great work you have done there but I almost got a heart attack when I saw your buddy Wayne with SHOES on. Thanks he put them of in a matter of few minutes of video and I recovered from my shock! :-)))))))) Halfass Customs has a International Harvester truck converted to a double cab pickup called The General, I love that thing!
Looking goood 👌Wheat straw is the best thing i've ever found for lifting spilt oil, something to do with the cellulose if i remember correctly try it you'll be amazed how well it works. The original hammerite paint was invented about 30 miles from here in Northumberland England the old recipe was much better than the new stuff. Since they took all the deadly chemicals out of it, its a shadow of its former self. I think you should call Wayne, the hyena. Hes got the best laugh in Africa 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yooo! Div, This video was a treat Div!! Enjoyed seeing just how well made and beefy this big truck was made. It was quiet the process to tear down. What a difference the sandblasting, wire brush and new coats of paint did on those parts, they look brand new again!!! Also enjoyed seeing your to and from to get and drop off the parts!! Hope you have a lekka one Div!!!

Big boy nuts and bolts but easy compared to steam turbine stuff 11/4 nuts with three guys on 8 ft scaffold tubes on the end of Hazet spanners and they honored the lifetime warranty on the spanners we broke they come with a 3ft handle
Awesome job my friend! Thanks for the "Happy Thanksgiving!" My dad use to work on semi trucks when I was younger and I remember helping him a lot in those days and yes everything about them is heavy! Lol
Another nice project Div. Best Wishes to everyone.
Good to see Wayne and Arnold come play in your shop.

As always, thank you.
Good time,, hanging out with Diff and the guy's....
Another great episode, from
Rat Rods for Africa... 👍😎💯
It's great to see new life being brought back to these old heavy-duty vehicles. They were certainly built to last.
Another terrific video. This beauty is really coming along. Thanks as always for letting us hang out while you make mechanical music. 😊👍👍

Pleasure man. A ball bearing larger than the hole works great too🙂
I enjoy your choices of music as much as the Lacker mechanical engineering. 4/5🪕 Banjos awarded.

Great video, although that looked fairly easy in the video, I know that was a lot of heavy work. Nice to see an old truck getting a new life.
Nothing light duty about that rear end. A great project. Thanks for sharing
That logo wasn’t Diamond T but actually Timken Detroit Axle Co. Timken is still in business today making bearings.
That makes sense! Thank you. Yes, Timken bearings are available here too
