I've always been had difficulty to understand and apply the passive form into my routine. After this amazing class, I'm sure that my english will improve it. Thank you so much Christian!
@@Ahmed.ibn.Mahmud This happened five years ago. I am sure that, as a beginner, it is better to communicate imperfectly than not to speak at all. What I don’t understand is why people like you spend time leaving negative comments. Next time, at least correct the sentence. :)
Thanks, Canguro channel for sharing this informative lesson about active voice in to passive voice. My knowledge of English was learned by a talented teacher. Keep it up.
Did you read Orwell's "1984"? He was a genius! Almost everything he depicted in his amasing novel can be found in real world and politics.I highly recommend to read the novel!
Hello teacher Cristian, what about the passive of causative ,eg : verb+Have or Get +Direct object +past participle ,eg: I have my hair cut ,or I have the barber give me the haircut.and the passive using the verb make,eg: I make the mechanic fix my car( Subject + verb (make) + somebody (mechanic) + verb (in the simple form) + direct object ( my car)
19:11 Sorry, Christian, but you was wrong about direct and indirect objects: in that example “a pizza” is a direct object and “the student” is an indirect one.
Yes, pizza is the direct object. To find the direct object you need to ask yourself: 'What is the object of the verb? Am I GIVING a PERSON, or a PIZZA?' You are giving a pizza, so pizza is the direct object. I hope that helps!
Hello, Teacher Cristian! FIrst of all, thank ou very much for your english classes. But i have a doubt. Why did you use "He was kissed by Sara" and not "He has been kissed by Sara"? Regards!
+Tálita Pollyanna Hi Tálita! There's no particular reason why I used the past simple instead of the present perfect. In this case you could use either.
You are the best teacher I have ever seen

He gave the student pizza, pizza should be the Direct object not the student ,clarify if u don't mind, Dear fabulous teacher.

In this video at 20:00 You explained the pizza as Indirect Object...
Someone can be confused.

"Clearly it's ridiculous to criticize a verbal tense; to say, 'don't use the passive.'"
Passive not a tense
is the direct object 'pizza' or 'the student'?
Amazing sir...Thank you..

Give a microphone to your students, please!
I don't make classes with students anymore, so this isn't a problem!
@@Canguroenglish
That is very pity. Can I ask why?
Por que casi no pones nombres a las lecciones
Nombres?
I played in the park . Change to passive voice. LOL
You played WHAT? In the park.
hand writing is very difficult to understand, Please do it change.
Yes, I know that this is a problem that I need to work on! I should have been a doctor!
Why all of your guests speak so quietly? Can you give them a microphone or something?
I think because they are a little bit shy to speak in English in front of a camera. I will be shy to do that too
Dear Christian,He gave me chocolate, which is Direct object, seems to me -chocolate isn't it?
+Ahmed Furas Yes! Chocolate is the direct object! Well done!
Lee Child writes the best books, eh? Be careful, for some might believe you.
Not well explanation...this is passive voice not a tense.
