Ahh!! One of the first ones watching!! lol Also, I saw people on the buses scanning with their phones of closed wallets. How do they do that without having their cards out? I still have some money from my trip which is about $50 in American money. I forgot to exchange it when I was there and if I exchanged it now, it would take probably all that money and I wouldn’t get any back. lol
You were so fast!! hehehe 🤭 So the phone scanning are for people who live in South Korea and a phone with scanning capabilities. Wallet wise, they probably just have their card or a scanning sensor inside of their wallet 😊 Save that money for your next trip 😍

Thanks for this video! These cards and functionality already exist in my home country (The main difference is that there isn't separate funds for debit and travel. It's all tied to your account balance to use as you wish) for several years now but good to see it's already in Korea too. Definitely could be useful during my many trips there. Since you mentioned that we could transfer funds from our WOWPASS accounts to Korean bank accounts, would it also be possible vice versa? My wife is Korean and she has bank accounts in Korea. Would she be able to transfer funds from her account to my WOWPASS? Instead of me having to search for a reload kiosk to top-up.

Also, one of the options to pick this up at the airport is not working, will try again tomorrow. For some reason, it only allows you to get either the one with sim card ( I already bought an esim card for my trip) or the one with kiosks...

I was in Soeul early October and brought the Discover Seoul Pass and thought I got the travel Tmoney and sightseeing part covered. Plus cash taken out at airport with my travel credit card, non need for the WOW card. Since I ended up arriving past 8pm from Shanghai to Gimpo, the Kiosk wasn’t valuable to pick up. I also didn’t really need the subway in my first few days as the tours picking me up., but in my hotel lobby, there was a WOW machine. I pick it up and loaded it up with my Wons. Also, I had to load up the T money part separately at the subway, which wasn’t difficult. It ended up being the most useful card, used for eating and 711s, without the need for a Tmoney and even staying in central Myeongdong, opposite the Lotte Dept store, Apple Pay “does not” work everywhere…including using Apple Pay in Apple Store 😂. Keeping it again next time to use for sure. It’s a good way to replace small cash spend and subway, and keep cash as backup. For larger spent, Olive Young..etc, just use your travel CC.
Can u do a supermarket store/pharmacy video in SK? Compare items from US vs SK? What to use/eat? So we know how or what to get( for people who live or visiting SK). Thanks

Also, one of the options to pick this up at the airport is not working, will try again tomorrow. For some reason, it only allows you to get either the one with sim card ( I already bought an esim card for my trip) or the one with kiosks...

I was in Soeul early October and brought the Discover Seoul Pass and thought I got the travel Tmoney and sightseeing part covered. Plus cash taken out at airport with my travel credit card, non need for the WOW card.
Since I ended up arriving past 8pm from Shanghai to Gimpo, the Kiosk wasn’t valuable to pick up.
I also didn’t really need the subway in my first few days as the tours picking me up., but in my hotel lobby, there was a WOW machine.
I pick it up and loaded it up with my Wons. Also, I had to load up the T money part separately at the subway, which wasn’t difficult.
It ended up being the most useful card, used for eating and 711s, without the need for a Tmoney and even staying in central Myeongdong, opposite the Lotte Dept store, Apple Pay “does not” work everywhere…including using Apple Pay in Apple Store 😂.
Keeping it again next time to use for sure. It’s a good way to replace small cash spend and subway, and keep cash as backup. For larger spent, Olive Young..etc, just use your travel CC.
Can u do a supermarket store/pharmacy video in SK? Compare items from US vs SK? What to use/eat? So we know how or what to get( for people who live or visiting SK). Thanks
