MBT is right symbol for micro bitcoin futures (/MBT).
yea designed to control risk or rather generate commissions because nobody gonna trade just one contract.
Commission is a cost of doing business, that shouldnt' scare you away. You aren't supposed to make money on micros, you're supposed to learn and then scale up. Running your computer, costs electricity. Typing, costs calories... etc. I think it's a great product for new people to start small.

Awesome explanation! If i wanted to purchase 5 micro BTC futures contracts, would this affect my initial margin requirements by 5x as well? Or would this just depend on the amount of leverage offered by the broker. I use TD ameritrade.
It'll cost you much more in fees than you'll ever make. Buy one to test it and see for yourself. Good luck!
