Had a good winter there last year, some lovely fish! never had anything on that corner though. I'm a member on that syndicate, maybe see you along there at some point! tight lines
Jamie Boomer many thanks for the kind comment.. It’s been a tricky year with all the restrictions because of Covid, but hopefully we will do some more videos in the near future 👍🏼
Nice fish. Even the small ones are much healthier (thicker) looking than what I have here in my part of the US. They're more the size of musky. Less competition? Catching a 20 pound pike is near unheard of (I know a few exist here though). Catching a 10 pounder is still pretty rare even.
Bazillions Thank you for your comment, we are quite lucky to have some decent sized pike in the part of the uk where I am, right in the heart of the Norfolk broads where there is so much history of some very big pike.. There are not as many as there once was due to other predators.. There’s a chance of the odd rogue monster pike but chances are few and far between..
i have a question about float fishing: How do you keep your float in roughly the same spot? because when i do it on a small river, my float will drift close to the bank.
BOJH BUIIJ I had this problem as the flow did vary from time to time, I used to clip a heavier weight on just to anchor it to the bottom.. However last year korum brought out some quick change weights out.. These were perfect for the river I was on, and they are interchangeable, I think they range between 15g to 40g and had no trouble with putting the 40g one on when the water was pushing through hard.. They were spot on for the river I was on, I don’t know what sort of river you’re on but definitely worth a look.. I think they are called “Korum Snapper Quick Change Weights” I hope this helps. Failing that, try to find a bit of slacker water near a snag or on a bend, as quite often I find the pike like to sit in these areas out of the main flow 👍🏼
Just subscribed ,I really love Norfolk I used to be a member of a small wild shoot at a place called Benick, just outside Peterborough .spent a lot of time on the north Norfolk coast ,loved the wildness of it before it became fashionable to the southern county townies which sent property prices thru the roof .Regards Gerald swain.
Gerald Swain Thanks for the feedback and thanks for subscribing, Norfolk is a lovely place and still a lot of areas where I can go fishing and not see a single soul 👍🏼
Marek Discher thanks for your kind comment, the net handle is a drennan twist lock, and the net is a rubberised mesh made by fox which I believe can be bought separate at certain tackle outlets, and that fits like a glove on 42” arms 👍🏼
Nice Pikes and movie...
Thanks
