Well, I just showed my teens the video of President Lund and they said, "Mom he already told us that". 😂 He spoke to the youth of our stake (in Colorado) this past August and apparently shared that story with them. The youth are ready!

Does the LDS church still teach that Zion has to be built up in Missouri and the Ten Tribes have to come back before the Savior returns?
No, it's been preached that Zion is a state of being, not necessarily a physical place. Been that way for years. Missouri was abandoned when the people were chased out. And the gathering of Israel has been happening for hundreds of years.
Watching what's going on in Israel right now is eye opening. There are Jews from all around the world returning to join the IDF. One group are Jews from India that say they are one of the lost trines, Manasseh.

In Seminary in the 70's, we were taught that we were literally going to Missouri. W. Cleon Skousen taught that the 10 tribes are coming back from the far north.@@natandjoec
That teaching has not changed. The 10th article of faith reads: "We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory." This is still taught today. Also, D&C 45:63-75 speaks of this literal gathering to Zion. This will happen in our day, and we need to be prepared for it. It is still a commandment for the saints of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to build up Zion. We just have fallen short of the mark and have not become the people we need to in order to build it. Part of the focus of the church for us to become a Zion people is to remind us that we need to be personally worthy and prepared if Zion is to be built physically.

Time is rapidly flying by. I remember this video when it came out and tried to share it. It was removed a day after I watched it. Anyone know why? I assumed the first Presidency may have asked him to remove it.

This time is different… this time the Jews are back in their land blooming as the rose, and the fig tree… this is the fig tree generation and they are once again surrounded by their enemies… this is the Abomination of Desolation returning for a third time in the land of Judea (it is the land where the temple belongs not just the temple itself that matters)
We are the generation that shall not pass away before the coming of the Lord… we have been since 1948, a generation in scripture is 80 years, 2028 will be exactly one generation from 1948
It is only right now for us that Israel has been established as the land of the Jews again, this is the event the world was waiting 2000 years for, and here it is
Jesus must come back to save his family from their enemies, or they will all be destroyed, this is the time right now when only he can save them, and he is always true and faithful, he always keeps his promises, he will not let his people be destroyed

@@brendamartin3444 Wikipedia has a page called _List of dates predicted for apocalyptic events_ that you should take a look at. It's not even a complete list and yet still covers 1700 years of failed predictions.
The disappointing part is that when your 2028 prediction fails, the possibility that you, or the faith that led to that prediction, might be wrong will not even be considered.

The generation that sees the land of Israel bloom like a rose, and her people return back into their land again, and the land become a nation again, is the generation that will see Christ also return back to save his people from their destruction
The world has been waiting 2000 years for the land Israel to bloom like a rose, for her people to return into their land, and for them to become a nation again, and we see Israel surrounded by their enemies again, it may turn out that things get very bad, and if Christ did not come to save them, they would all die… just like the scriptures say

I'm not sure where you received that misguided information about President Russell M. Nelson, but it's most assuredly not true. I can add my humble, but firm testimony that, President Russell M. Nelson is the living true Prophet, Seer and Revelator of Our Lords true and Only Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
That's definitely utterly false, since President Nelson didn't attend Yale!
