Hi Connie, I just came across your channel tonight and I have to say I am so glad that I did.I have anxiety and depression, and I have always struggled with this. My periods feel like I suddenly just go into auto-pilot, and feel like I'm walking under water. Then I'll come out of it, and feel the sun again and then I'm always scared of going back under. The episodes have gotten better, and I am closer now in my walk with the Lord. He used my kids to really bring me back into the fold, and they are what keeps me going during those episodes. I am so glad to hear your honesty, and know I'm not the only one struggling with spiritual issues like this. My children and I suffer from night terrors, and sleep walking, especially my son, and I also dealt with sleep paralysis. I am a believer in spiritual warfare, and I have been struggling to get some peace for my children at night.The fight is far from over, and it is so good to see someone else deal with, and survive through these things.

I got saved a few years ago. And one of the things I viewed to help me turn to Christianity was the video you made regarding Catholcism vs Christianity. That video helped me seek God. Connie so many times I watched your videos and felt like you got what it takes to be a perfect Christian and to be honest I could not relate . My walk is anything but perfect. Sometimes in these needy suits of flesh we wear living in a world that caters to our fleshly desires the Spirit gets muted by constantly seeking these desires. I used to painfully doubt my Salvation because I was not the perfect Christian. Now I know I am saved because he took ALL of our sins. I don't have to be perfect. A million pounds was lifted off my spirit. I engage with the Lord 24/7 now because there is no condemnation in Him. I still slip up but I repent and just bask in his finished work. Thank you for this honest message. It's deeply personal but so many of us Christians can really relate to what you are going through because we all go through it from time to time.

You're not alone. I'm a Christian and I've suffered with depression most of my life. It has been a struggle and I'm currently taking medication and it's helped. I'll be praying for you ❤
Megan Luckey - Thank you for sharing Megan! I don’t mean to minimize depression as a chemical imbalance of some sort but I truly think that depression can be an evil spirit. Of course that is not always the case! Praise God that the medication has helped you!
Just know your not alone, I for example have distractions that seem to appeal me and at the end of the day I have emptyness and do also get depressed. The devil came to destroy and to seperate Us from the Lord. We as humans are gonna steer away sometimes but through constant prayer and putting God first We have the victory. Its a reminder that things of this world have no light and only God’s purpose for your Life is what truly fill your spirit and heart full of happiness. I keep you and you fam in my prayers.

I go through the same thing and have been struggling with my walk with Christ😔be strong and know that God is always with you😇my depression and anxiety has become so bad that I have been drowning myself in alcohol and popping 5-6 Benadryls just to shut out the enemy from tormenting my mind😔I’ve been slacking on going to church and reading his word. I finally realized that the only way I can be set free is to completely give God my problems and to trust him, I will pray for you sister. Psalms 138:7, Deuteronomy 31:16, Isaiah 41:10

Muffy, get an appointment with your Dr. to rule out any physical causes of depression and anxiety. Google physical/brain chemistry causes of depression and anxiety. God has allowed scientists to invent many wonderful medicines to treat depression and anxiety. Stop the alcohol and Benadryl, please. God bless.

Hi Connie, I’m a Believer too and suffered from “dark” thoughts too. It sounds silly, but I discovered that my vitamin D and B was too low....so once I started taking supplements and a multi vitamin, and I feel better. I realized how the evil one was able to get in my head and take advantage of me in my weakness. Stay strong!
Please pray for me as well. I feel that the enemy is in this constant attack while God is trying to show me what he has for my life, present, and future. I had felt spiritually paralyzed for the past year or so and it is the worst feeling. Just like you were saying, I feel that God has gifted me with things that I’m still learning and the enemy tries to keep me from learning by little distractions at a time (I think that was in this video but I’ve watched three because we’re so similar!). Frankly I am DONE with satin and his lies and distractions and bind him in Jesus name! I am also praying for you and all the rest of my brothers and sisters under attack!! It will be no more in the Mighty and Matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!
I experienced something similar to what you have experienced. I think that the eb and flow of our emotions in our walk with Christ is normal in this life. Sometimes i would cry in bed at night and I became saddened because I was sinful. Then I realized that "There is no condemnation in Christ." (Rom.). I also found that this depression was also a self-consumed nature that was just welling up in me. Thankfully I began to seek God more because I knew that was my only "out" of the stranglehold. I continue to struggle with my sin and overcoming but where there is sin, grace abounds. God's word is the way to go. It breaks all the chains and it uplifts the soul. I encourage you as your brother in Christ! Prayer also helped me knowing that God answers prayer. wish i could encourage you in person. I'm that type of person. I like to encourage.

After going through the death of my wife ( we were married 27 years, no children ) and a Traumatic Brain Injury resulting in permanent disability a few years later, I have struggled with depression and discouragement. It’d be great if you brought your faith to all your videos, not everyone will like it, but I’m sure God will be proud of that. It’s easy to get sucked into the social media hype and want to show off everything but I think like you said in the video those things can’t live side by side with wanting Gods glory above your own. Same for me, when I first got saved I was connected so deeply to God but as time went by I feel as I've drifted away from the level I was at then and also the sleep paralysis and attacks are minimal or at least I'm not aware to exposing them in the spiritual realm as I did before. It like worldliness pulls us away

Connie you are special, unique, loved and accepted. Jesus loves you. I know how you are feeling because I have been there numerous times. I think we are humans having a spiritual experience. You will be okay. God is not condemning you for going through this experience. Christians always think everything is about walking in total joy and victory ALL the time but without the different/difficult seasons in our lives we will probably draw near to God even more than before. Your faith is growing and He will give you your hearts desire. Faith over fear.

Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. You are being refined! Connie First i would like to thank you for being so raw and honest about your struggles with your faith! Second, i want to give you a warning out of love to be *extremely* careful about people (however well-intended they are) telling you that you “need” to do this, you “need” to do that in regards to your faith. There are so many different voices and opinions out there about what you “need” to do that it’s absolutely overwhelming, and many many of them are deceitful (again, no matter how well-meaning they are!). I used to be athiest, suffered from horrible sleep paralysis for decades, and had many very serious emotional problems until the Lord opened my eyes to His beautiful existence in 2014. Dear Sister in Christ, depression is a physical illness. I'm a born again, Spirit filled Christian, who was a teacher and a Christian counselor for many years. You would not beat yourself up if you suffered from diabetes, and think that your walk with the Lord wasn't what it should be. Neuro-scientists, who study the human brain, are discovering more and more about the physical and chemical problems within the brain that can cause symptoms of depression. God in His mercy, gave scientists the wisdom to invent medicines to treat depression and correct chemical imbalances. There are 2 types of depression: Physical/physiological depression, which is an illness beyond a person's control, and Spiritual depression. Spiritual depression can be caused by sin in our lives, neglecting spending time with God in Bible study and prayer, unforgiveness toward others, anger, etc. The Holy Spirit will show you if it's Spiritual depression, and you repent, ask God's forgiveness and line up your life with God's will. Please have a check up with your Dr., including a complete blood work up and endocrine testing to rule out any health problems. Talk to him about your depression and get a referral to a Dr. who can medically treat depression. The best way to effective treatment is to get the RIGHT PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE AND THE CORRECT DOSAGE OF THE MEDICINE. Don't give up if one type of medicine for depression doesn't work. God is so merciful in providing medicines to relieve human suffering. It is not weakness to seek the proper medical help when you need it. The same truth also applies to treating anxiety. God bless.
I am a Christian and have been for years ... I suffer with Mental Health Problems and Other Physical Health Problems ( I've had 3 major Operations to Save my life ) ... I struggle with Weakness on a daily basis . 2 Scriptures I hold onto are :9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength / power is made perfect in weakness.” God's Abounding Grace toward you is enough , Every second , Every Day . The more weak you are In Christ , The more Effectual is the Saving Power of the Cross in you . 2nd Scripture: Hebrews 13 v 5 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” When God says " I Will " ... It means He promises... To never Leave you nor Abandon you . One day ... the miseries of this temporal life will be over ... then ... Eternal Life in Heaven awaits ! . I will certainly Pray for you . Andrew K I find that I was at that place too. Evangelical church had a lot to play in that sense for me. You go to church and they emphasize so much on the happy and joyful side of the gospel. So when we feel that way and struggle with life, we often and times feel far off from people we know and where we think we should be. I like the view of Catholic Church on a lot of things. We shall face the suffering the went on for Jesus, Jewish, and our past generation. Evangelical don’t look back... it seems like happiness is the goal of the gospel.
I struggle similarly to this. I condemn myself because I can not overcome this. I just have to meditate on His word and pray. Gal. Ch 5 vs 16-17 encourages me, it lets me know that there is a struggle in this area and we shouldn't feel hopeless because we battle with this. It takes alot of courage for you to admit this I have not brought myself to share it with anyone but my husband. I have also started taking supplements, chaste tree and St. John's, to see if that helps. I will pray for strength for you and your family.

Rejoice Connie! the fact that you even care about your walk in Christ is evidence of his Spirit working in you! As maturing Christians we're supposed to "Work out our own salvation" as it says in Philippians 2: 12_13, what we're not supposed to do is condemn ourselves.
Very good sister. You have come through with a great lesson. Sometimes the best lessons in our Christian walk come from the most painful times. I live with a broken heart sister. I cannot explain what that is. This forces me to lean on Jesus by reading His word every morning and praying(I will put you on my prayer list sister). I have been able to share Jesus with my coworkers where I work and also the people around too. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. That just came to me. I believe the Lord is coming soon in the Rapture to take us home. 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The devil is not happy with me sharing Jesus. I see people who try to give me a hard time, but I give it to God and take appropriate work guidelines. I will still share and serve. I try to show the love of God to others. Praise God! Good for you sister!;)
Ive learned that depression is not really depression..its demonic spirits tormenting our minds and thoughts..and getting to our emotions..and yes only if u have a close relationship with God pray will that depression go away..and very important not to get caught up in sinning..cause sinning invites those spirits into our minds and they get control of our thoughts.. so the keys are...pray..dont practice the sin we love to do..we all have different ones..but we live in a spiritual world..
Have you ever checked out a book called dark night of the soul? I think Saint John of the cross wrote it. Also, there's a book called imitation of Christ by Thomas kemplis . You will love imitation of Christ . The dark night of the soul might shed some light on your depression, it did mine.
Also, part of walking with Jesus is *sharing in His suffering* (being rejected/persecuted because of your faith in Him: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs to God and co-heirs with Christ, *IF* indeed we share in his sufferings *in order that* we may also share in His glory.” (Romans 8:16-17). We *will* experience rejection/suffering as we walk with Jesus, but don’t be afraid! Jesus walks *with us* through our persecutions and gives us the grace and strength we need to overcome it, if you place your trust in Him and obey Him! ❤️ The devil will convince you to not talk about your faith by making you fearful of being rejected - he does this to rob God of His glory, to break down your trust in the Lord, and to keep distance between you and the Lord. The more distant you are from Jesus, the more worldly and depressed you’ll be!

Look up this book on Amazon- The Walk of the Spirit, The Walk of Power, by Dave Roberson. It’s free on Amazon Kindle. I promise you if you pray in God’s personal prayer language for the building up of your faith it will change your life. Please seek Him about this in His Word because I know He wants this for you. Ask God to help you with these feelings. Rebuke the evil spirits that want you to be in this place. Diet also contributes to a big portion of it believe it or not. Tons of videos linking diet to depression.

I got saved when I was 20 years old,I am 53 years old now,I tell you the truth after I got saved my life has been a constant struggle like a continuous spiritual battle,after I got saved that walk through the park isn't a walk through the park any more,I've gotten so close to God,and I have wondered far away at times,the devil wants you to struggle in hopes you will give up,my Preacher told me the reason we are struggling so much is because we are becoming spiritually stronger,and that makes us more dangerous to the devil and he will attack more to wear us out to destroy us,,,,, continue to pray.

God's fire will consume everything and look into our hearts to see what is left. It is excruciating at times - seeing ourselves through the mirror of the Word of God can be difficult at times when He is preparing you for His glory - and it sounds like that is what He is doing. Know that He is faithful, even when we are not, because He cannot deny Himself. I bet I know the cycle you're going through:You don't get the result you want following Him (where is He, why am I not getting more people interested, why do I feel so bored and uninterested?), so you go your way thinking, okay, I must not be cut our for God's call, but this, but that... But it never fails, He won't let go of your ankle! So you turn back and start over. How many times will we start over? Until we pass these tests of the heart. Believe me, I understand :) I will pray for you - He will test you in many ways to be sure none of your own motives are present in your heart - the process can take awhile so don't give up. You're not alone. Let patience have it's perfect work in you while you stay in the Word and pray (I know it's hard with a child) but do your best. It's those who ANSWER the call that God uses and answering is the hardest part - but hold fast. There are people who need you out there - do exactly what Jesus asks you to do no matter the numbers, no matter the feedback or lack of interest from others - it's not about anybody else but you and God in this process. Do whatever He asks of you in the meantime - videos for this channel, bible study groups, witnessing, etc. Only what He asks. Everyone will always have a bright idea - God has the Light. One last thing, when we have children, they become our focus so don't feel guilty about that or taking care of your family. Use this time wisely - God will raise you up when the fullness of the season has come.

*connie k yom* For three years I was going to church and feeding the homeless in the park once a week with a crockpot of homemade soup. I also ate at the church lunch on Tuesdays--- which is a very nice ministry for the homeless and the poor. I found that spending time with the least amongst us was what Jesus did. It wasn't the free food that made a difference. None from the church ever spent time with these people one on one. Jesus spends time One on One with all of us. 💗 That's the difference.
You have to take the time to listen to what you say at times. All the repetition of Christian saying show you are taking a lot in and not really spending time reflection and looking for truth in Gods words. The life with God is an everyday thing and should not be that hard. His first of few commends is to love on others as your self. Forget a little about theology and you will do fine. Theology is man made and is not God himself. Find joy in simple things, like helping your neighbour, husband and your kids. This is enough. I don’t like a lot of your memorized theology, but I want you to do well and be well. So focus on you for now. Good food exercise and the people God bring to you. Not those wealthy people at church. Help the poor, get involved with some real suffering. It will do good for you.
Thanks but I will have to gently disagree on the theology part of what you said. I think understanding and believing sound doctrine is crucial. A believer must have right understanding of the basic doctrines of their faith otherwise they can end up in a cult and there are many cults out there that can keep someone in the bondage of lies. How well do you eat and exercise? And have you truly let go? I mean... really let go. God's people get sad, or we wouldn't have the Pslams. As far as being a person that's rejected... You need to go all the way. All the way rejected. That's where you meet the others, the real Christians. You should eat well and exercise because it helps with depression a lot. If you do get the type of body you want, you shouldn't show anyone. If you do, you'll get addicted to the attention, then your whole family will get torn apart.
nagol5178 - I do have a better perspective on fitness. Before I was obsessing over it and I actually did have plans to show off my body and It was so evil... but you are right, it does help a lot. These days it's hard to meet a girl I could actually trust with my life that way. Before I was serious about Christ I ALWAYS had a girlfriend, I could never been single. Now, I am always single and I don't find myself interested in girls that much. Give up all the way and let God run your life. I have a friend that says he has control issues and so he is practicing just letting the universe ebb and Flo him. That might sound New Agey but he means the Universe God created. Let go of control. I'm on the journey myself and one thing I'm finding is, be patient with yourself, write down your goals, not long term, as you know what those are, but how could you be better in Christ today or tomorrow? Don't write down things that you'd like to do or might do. Write down what you will do, FOR SURE. Don't be too hard on yourself and every 14 days or so adjust what you have written down.

God revealed to me after about 7 years of being saved that I am STILL so fearful of man and I have let the opinions of others control me. 😝 It sure doesn't feel good when He shows us these things but I'm so glad He does😊

Hi Connie, I just came across your channel tonight and I have to say I am so glad that I did.I have anxiety and depression, and I have always struggled with this. My periods feel like I suddenly just go into auto-pilot, and feel like I'm walking under water. Then I'll come out of it, and feel the sun again and then I'm always scared of going back under. The episodes have gotten better, and I am closer now in my walk with the Lord. He used my kids to really bring me back into the fold, and they are what keeps me going during those episodes. I am so glad to hear your honesty, and know I'm not the only one struggling with spiritual issues like this. My children and I suffer from night terrors, and sleep walking, especially my son, and I also dealt with sleep paralysis. I am a believer in spiritual warfare, and I have been struggling to get some peace for my children at night.The fight is far from over, and it is so good to see someone else deal with, and survive through these things.

Connie so many times I watched your videos and felt like you got what it takes to be a perfect Christian and to be honest I could not relate . My walk is anything but perfect. Sometimes in these needy suits of flesh we wear living in a world that caters to our fleshly desires the Spirit gets muted by constantly seeking these desires. I used to painfully doubt my Salvation because I was not the perfect Christian. Now I know I am saved because he took ALL of our sins. I don't have to be perfect. A million pounds was lifted off my spirit. I engage with the Lord 24/7 now because there is no condemnation in Him. I still slip up but I repent and just bask in his finished work. Thank you for this honest message. It's deeply personal but so many of us Christians can really relate to what you are going through because we all go through it from time to time.

Just know your not alone, I for example have distractions that seem to appeal me and at the end of the day I have emptyness and do also get depressed. The devil came to destroy and to seperate Us from the Lord. We as humans are gonna steer away sometimes but through constant prayer and putting God first We have the victory. Its a reminder that things of this world have no light and only God’s purpose for your Life is what truly fill your spirit and heart full of happiness. I keep you and you fam in my prayers.

I go through the same thing and have been struggling with my walk with Christ😔be strong and know that God is always with you😇my depression and anxiety has become so bad that I have been drowning myself in alcohol and popping 5-6 Benadryls just to shut out the enemy from tormenting my mind😔I’ve been slacking on going to church and reading his word. I finally realized that the only way I can be set free is to completely give God my problems and to trust him, I will pray for you sister. Psalms 138:7, Deuteronomy 31:16, Isaiah 41:10

God has allowed scientists to invent many wonderful medicines to treat depression and anxiety. Stop the alcohol and Benadryl, please. God bless.

Hi Connie, I’m a Believer too and suffered from “dark” thoughts too. It sounds silly, but I discovered that my vitamin D and B was too low....so once I started taking supplements and a multi vitamin, and I feel better. I realized how the evil one was able to get in my head and take advantage of me in my weakness. Stay strong!
Please pray for me as well. I feel that the enemy is in this constant attack while God is trying to show me what he has for my life, present, and future. I had felt spiritually paralyzed for the past year or so and it is the worst feeling. Just like you were saying, I feel that God has gifted me with things that I’m still learning and the enemy tries to keep me from learning by little distractions at a time (I think that was in this video but I’ve watched three because we’re so similar!). Frankly I am DONE with satin and his lies and distractions and bind him in Jesus name! I am also praying for you and all the rest of my brothers and sisters under attack!! It will be no more in the Mighty and Matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!
I experienced something similar to what you have experienced. I think that the eb and flow of our emotions in our walk with Christ is normal in this life. Sometimes i would cry in bed at night and I became saddened because I was sinful. Then I realized that "There is no condemnation in Christ." (Rom.). I also found that this depression was also a self-consumed nature that was just welling up in me. Thankfully I began to seek God more because I knew that was my only "out" of the stranglehold. I continue to struggle with my sin and overcoming but where there is sin, grace abounds. God's word is the way to go. It breaks all the chains and it uplifts the soul. I encourage you as your brother in Christ! Prayer also helped me knowing that God answers prayer. wish i could encourage you in person. I'm that type of person. I like to encourage.
you've encouraged me because we have the same problem. its in the heart. i know and love the same things about God that you too love. my life testifies to the holy spirit's work in my heart. I desire to give God the glory. my desires are totally changed! i am a new creature. its a constant struggle, with all the distractions.

After going through the death of my wife ( we were married 27 years, no children ) and a Traumatic Brain Injury resulting in permanent disability a few years later, I have struggled with depression and discouragement. Same for me, when I first got saved I was connected so deeply to God but as time went by I feel as I've drifted away from the level I was at then and also the sleep paralysis and attacks are minimal or at least I'm not aware to exposing them in the spiritual realm as I did before. It like worldliness pulls us away

You will be okay. God is not condemning you for going through this experience. Christians always think everything is about walking in total joy and victory ALL the time but without the different/difficult seasons in our lives we will probably draw near to God even more than before. First i would like to thank you for being so raw and honest about your struggles with your faith!
Second, i want to give you a warning out of love to be *extremely* careful about people (however well-intended they are) telling you that you “need” to do this, you “need” to do that in regards to your faith. There are so many different voices and opinions out there about what you “need” to do that it’s absolutely overwhelming, and many many of them are deceitful (again, no matter how well-meaning they are!).
I used to be athiest, suffered from horrible sleep paralysis for decades, and had many very serious emotional problems until the Lord opened my eyes to His beautiful existence in 2014.

Dear Sister in Christ, depression is a physical illness. I'm a born again, Spirit filled Christian, who was a teacher and a Christian counselor for many years. You would not beat yourself up if you suffered from diabetes, and think that your walk with the Lord wasn't what it should be. Neuro-scientists, who study the human brain, are discovering more and more about the physical and chemical problems within the brain that can cause symptoms of depression. God in His mercy, gave scientists the wisdom to invent medicines to treat depression and correct chemical imbalances. There are 2 types of depression: Physical/physiological depression, which is an illness beyond a person's control, and Spiritual depression. Spiritual depression can be caused by sin in our lives, neglecting spending time with God in Bible study and prayer, unforgiveness toward others, anger, etc. The Holy Spirit will show you if it's Spiritual depression, and you repent, ask God's forgiveness and line up your life with God's will. Please have a check up with your Dr., including a complete blood work up and endocrine testing to rule out any health problems. Talk to him about your depression and get a referral to a Dr. who can medically treat depression. The best way to effective treatment is to get the RIGHT PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE AND THE CORRECT DOSAGE OF THE MEDICINE. Don't give up if one type of medicine for depression doesn't work. God is so merciful in providing medicines to relieve human suffering. It is not weakness to seek the proper medical help when you need it. The same truth also applies to treating anxiety. God bless.
I am a Christian and have been for years ... I suffer with Mental Health Problems and Other Physical Health Problems ( I've had 3 major Operations to Save my life ) ... I struggle with Weakness on a daily basis .
2 Scriptures I hold onto are :9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength / power is made perfect in weakness.”
God's Abounding Grace toward you is enough , Every second , Every Day .
The more weak you are In Christ , The more Effectual is the Saving Power of the Cross in you .
2nd Scripture: Hebrews 13 v 5 “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
When God says " I Will " ... It means He promises... To never Leave you nor Abandon you .
One day ... the miseries of this temporal life will be over ... then ... Eternal Life in Heaven awaits ! .

Andrew K I find that I was at that place too. Evangelical church had a lot to play in that sense for me. You go to church and they emphasize so much on the happy and joyful side of the gospel. So when we feel that way and struggle with life, we often and times feel far off from people we know and where we think we should be. I like the view of Catholic Church on a lot of things. We shall face the suffering the went on for Jesus, Jewish, and our past generation. Evangelical don’t look back... it seems like happiness is the goal of the gospel.

I struggle similarly to this. I condemn myself because I can not overcome this. I just have to meditate on His word and pray. Gal. Ch 5 vs 16-17 encourages me, it lets me know that there is a struggle in this area and we shouldn't feel hopeless because we battle with this. It takes alot of courage for you to admit this I have not brought myself to share it with anyone but my husband. I have also started taking supplements, chaste tree and St. John's, to see if that helps. I will pray for strength for you and your family.

Very good sister. You have come through with a great lesson. Sometimes the best lessons in our Christian walk come from the most painful times. I live with a broken heart sister. I cannot explain what that is. This forces me to lean on Jesus by reading His word every morning and praying(I will put you on my prayer list sister). I have been able to share Jesus with my coworkers where I work and also the people around too. The Lord is close to the broken hearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. That just came to me. I believe the Lord is coming soon in the Rapture to take us home. 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The devil is not happy with me sharing Jesus. I see people who try to give me a hard time, but I give it to God and take appropriate work guidelines. I will still share and serve. I try to show the love of God to others. Praise God! Ive learned that depression is not really depression..its demonic spirits tormenting our minds and thoughts..and getting to our emotions..and yes only if u have a close relationship with God pray will that depression go away..and very important not to get caught up in sinning..cause sinning invites those spirits into our minds and they get control of our thoughts.. so the keys are...pray..dont practice the sin we love to do..we all have different ones..but we live in a spiritual world..
Have you ever checked out a book called dark night of the soul? I think Saint John of the cross wrote it. Also, there's a book called imitation of Christ by Thomas kemplis . You will love imitation of Christ . The dark night of the soul might shed some light on your depression, it did mine.

Also, part of walking with Jesus is *sharing in His suffering* (being rejected/persecuted because of your faith in Him:
“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs to God and co-heirs with Christ, *IF* indeed we share in his sufferings *in order that* we may also share in His glory.” (Romans 8:16-17).
We *will* experience rejection/suffering as we walk with Jesus, but don’t be afraid! Jesus walks *with us* through our persecutions and gives us the grace and strength we need to overcome it, if you place your trust in Him and obey Him! ❤️
The devil will convince you to not talk about your faith by making you fearful of being rejected - he does this to rob God of His glory, to break down your trust in the Lord, and to keep distance between you and the Lord. The more distant you are from Jesus, the more worldly and depressed you’ll be!

As a single woman in my mid-thirties, I look up to you because I can relate to you in some ways. I want to encourage you to seek the Lord concerning receiving a prayer language. Look up this book on Amazon- The Walk of the Spirit, The Walk of Power, by Dave Roberson. It’s free on Amazon Kindle. Thank you Megan! You know, I used to speak in tongues when I was very first saved and born again but then I stopped because i was convinced that it was just coming from me and not the Holy Spirit. But THANK YOU for reminding me of this. Something in my spirit perked up when I read your comment because I remember how powerful my prayer life was when I was speaking in tongues. I wish I could speak to you in person. There’s much more that I could say. The enemy works hard against us to keep us from God’s plan for our lives. I can speak from experience. The depression is a spirit. If I could recommend listening to anyone for sound teaching about this I recommend Derek Prince’s teachings.You can find so many on RUclips. Please look him up.

Ask God to help you with these feelings. Rebuke the evil spirits that want you to be in this place. Diet also contributes to a big portion of it believe it or not. Tons of videos linking diet to depression.

I got saved when I was 20 years old,I am 53 years old now,I tell you the truth after I got saved my life has been a constant struggle like a continuous spiritual battle,after I got saved that walk through the park isn't a walk through the park any more,I've gotten so close to God,and I have wondered far away at times,the devil wants you to struggle in hopes you will give up,my Preacher told me the reason we are struggling so much is because we are becoming spiritually stronger,and that makes us more dangerous to the devil and he will attack more to wear us out to destroy us,,,,, continue to pray.

God's fire will consume everything and look into our hearts to see what is left. It is excruciating at times - seeing ourselves through the mirror of the Word of God can be difficult at times when He is preparing you for His glory - and it sounds like that is what He is doing. Know that He is faithful, even when we are not, because He cannot deny Himself. I bet I know the cycle you're going through:You don't get the result you want following Him (where is He, why am I not getting more people interested, why do I feel so bored and uninterested?), so you go your way thinking, okay, I must not be cut our for God's call, but this, but that... But it never fails, He won't let go of your ankle! So you turn back and start over. How many times will we start over? Until we pass these tests of the heart. Believe me, I understand :) I will pray for you - He will test you in many ways to be sure none of your own motives are present in your heart - the process can take awhile so don't give up. You're not alone. Let patience have it's perfect work in you while you stay in the Word and pray (I know it's hard with a child) but do your best. It's those who ANSWER the call that God uses and answering is the hardest part - but hold fast. There are people who need you out there - do exactly what Jesus asks you to do no matter the numbers, no matter the feedback or lack of interest from others - it's not about anybody else but you and God in this process. Do whatever He asks of you in the meantime - videos for this channel, bible study groups, witnessing, etc. Only what He asks. Everyone will always have a bright idea - God has the Light. One last thing, when we have children, they become our focus so don't feel guilty about that or taking care of your family. Use this time wisely - God will raise you up when the fullness of the season has come.

Christian does not mean happy all the time. The Christian path is carrying the cross with dignity. The most loving people that I have been around on my mission have been the homeless, not those at church on Sunday.
Faith without works is death. 🐡

*connie k yom* For three years I was going to church and feeding the homeless in the park once a week with a crockpot of homemade soup. I also ate at the church lunch on Tuesdays--- which is a very nice ministry for the homeless and the poor. I found that spending time with the least amongst us was what Jesus did. It wasn't the free food that made a difference.
None from the church ever spent time with these people one on one.
Jesus spends time One on One with all of us. 💗 That's the difference.
You have to take the time to listen to what you say at times. All the repetition of Christian saying show you are taking a lot in and not really spending time reflection and looking for truth in Gods words. The life with God is an everyday thing and should not be that hard. His first of few commends is to love on others as your self. Forget a little about theology and you will do fine. Theology is man made and is not God himself. Find joy in simple things, like helping your neighbour, husband and your kids. This is enough. I don’t like a lot of your memorized theology, but I want you to do well and be well. So focus on you for now. Good food exercise and the people God bring to you. Not those wealthy people at church. Help the poor, get involved with some real suffering. It will do good for you.
Thanks but I will have to gently disagree on the theology part of what you said. I think understanding and believing sound doctrine is crucial. A believer must have right understanding of the basic doctrines of their faith otherwise they can end up in a cult and there are many cults out there that can keep someone in the bondage of lies. How well do you eat and exercise? And have you truly let go? I mean... really let go. God's people get sad, or we wouldn't have the Pslams. As far as being a person that's rejected... You need to go all the way. All the way rejected. That's where you meet the others, the real Christians. You should eat well and exercise because it helps with depression a lot. If you do get the type of body you want, you shouldn't show anyone. If you do, you'll get addicted to the attention, then your whole family will get torn apart.
nagol5178 - I do have a better perspective on fitness. Before I was obsessing over it and I actually did have plans to show off my body and It was so evil... but you are right, it does help a lot. As far as going all the way rejected... I am almost there. Thanks for your friendship Logan! Praying that you meet a godly girl to marry and be your wife!
These days it's hard to meet a girl I could actually trust with my life that way. Before I was serious about Christ I ALWAYS had a girlfriend, I could never been single. Now, I am always single and I don't find myself interested in girls that much. Give up all the way and let God run your life. I have a friend that says he has control issues and so he is practicing just letting the universe ebb and Flo him. That might sound New Agey but he means the Universe God created. Let go of control. I'm on the journey myself and one thing I'm finding is, be patient with yourself, write down your goals, not long term, as you know what those are, but how could you be better in Christ today or tomorrow? Don't write down things that you'd like to do or might do. Write down what you will do, FOR SURE. Don't be too hard on yourself and every 14 days or so adjust what you have written down.
