Definitely think Curseweaver was the play over Spear. Curse counts as an aura and I'm pretty sure Awilix getting on the cat counts as an ability being used.

Build didn't transition to late game. As soon as he got quins it was over. Should have sold relic dagger and gem of iso for telks and cyclopean, lean into the fact that Ares has a base 120 auto attack damage (140 with 2 active). The hp with no prots on iso and relic hurt bad and neither helped you do damage really.
