It’s because MEE6 uses lavaplayer which doesn’t require API keys. All the other bots you mentioned used API keys. You might be wondering why they didn’t just switch? It’s because they needed to use many proxies or else it they would get rate limited considering the amount of users.

Fredboat is the first bot I ever learnt to use and as such has been the bot I'd use for when I'm in vc with people and wanna listen to music. I noticed they too can no longer run youtube videos due to conflicts so i decided to make some backup playlists on Soundcloud for my regulars. I tend to listen to my music offline since I actually buy it but it felt odd to lose a big chunk of what my tiny server liked to do together. That said I am now getting the hang of that youtube watch party feature in servers now.
Yeah, the YT watch party is pretty cool, but it's pretty limited, some videos can't be played, if you paste a link to a playlist it just lists all the songs and you have to add them one by one. It also has ads that work in a kinda weird way, everyone gets i different ad and has to click skip ad separately, and the video doesn't pase while ads are played, so you miss a bit of it
what's funny about mee6 allowing links is that the two bots i use for music dont like to take links, they require putting the yt title in, so something tells me mee6 is breaking rules more than normal.
It would have been so much easier for you to use the Discord API to return all the messages from a specific channel and use that information to create a spreadsheet.

I've got a question that has practically nothing to do with Mee6: As I was watching this video, I was wondering how Soda Bot was doing ? This alternative to Mee6 should be great, but when I checked their site, it was down (is still is as I'm writing this)
I feel the issue is that it's just too late to kick it off the platform, they're in way too many servers and afaik there's no easy way to transfer the settings to other servers, so if you kick them off the platform it essentially breaks a large volume of servers (specially ones that rely on level roles for channels) and leaves them without the automod it has. Unless discord somehow finds a way to transfer mee6's settings somewhere else, it'll probably stay as much as it really shouldn't have

Of course, here it does as that video is only on youtube, but anyway: I had a bot that supported spotify links, but played it from youtube instead. It still did show spotify metadata and if you clicked on it, spotify would open, but it didn't use spotify in a way that breaks spotify's TOS. Yet the bot got banned by discord for breaking TOS of their partners (hit 1.2k servers, way less than other music bots that are fine and thriving ...), and discord refuses to communicate exact reason or reverse the ban. The bot did nothing else that could be breaking TOS of any of their partners.

Our Discord uses MEE6 for everything. I am not defending it, but I haven't had any issues. We have 20k+ Members and haven't had any complaints. Not saying you are wrong, you very well may be 100% correct but at this time we have about 100+ bots that run via MEE6 so changing is not an option.
