Yo, I am an upstate SC local. CAW is like riding a rock garden compared to Durhamtown(recently renamed Georgia Offroad Adventures). If you want to ride FAST, Durhamtown is the trip you want to make. I seen the new Brewer video of another trip to CAW and it occurred to me you have never visited Durhamtown(at least not on camera). I will have to check if Brewer has visited but man, you guys are missing out.
That place looks insane. Killer video like always and that was one HELL of a group to roll out with! Can't wait for the rest of the uploads from the different views.
Great video. I used to ride at CAW quite a bit. I was part of a group that rode there before it opened to help the owners figure out how to lay out the trails, and what would work good for sport quads. That was back in 2004 and 2005. I haven’t been there in several years. I need to give it a try again. Thanks for the motivating video.
Its a nice place. I live in Quebec, Canada, we have over 20 000miles of federed trails that look just like this. If you come by Quebec one day, don't forget that its the quad paradise :) , Great video , i watched the whole thing.
The hose at the end was so funny bro haha I only live 3 maybe 4 hours away from there and ain’t been there yet! I’m crazy for not having been there def go now and soon! Great video man you killed it!!
You all should try Brushy Mtn in Taylorsville NC. Mostly a dirt bike park but almost zero side by sides. Most trails are quad ridable, much more technical and scenic. Not as big but big enough for a two day stay, and no cool amenities like this place but the riding seems way better.
Because of medical reasons I've gotten rid of all my four wheelers so I haven't watched your channel in a while but I'm still shocked you don't have more subs
Hay Pete great video. If you like the ruff stuff Come out and ride California City California. We got 1800 miles of trails some way over the top of these I've seen in your Videos. But there is no water on the trails and no fancy cabins. just hard core trails foe every skill level.
Hey Pete, man I was watching another youtuber Ashton C, and saw a quad in his video and I was like that looks like Petes quad and sure enough came to your channel and saw you riding with him in your video. Thought that was pretty cool to get his and your pov. Ashton C was on on the black and green quad. I think you fist bump him in his video saying he was flying at one point. Yall ride safe
Man I wish to be able to do stuff like this one day, I just got my own 2002 400ex and I bought my brothers polaris predator 500 which is bored out to a 550 and I cant wait to ride around my area this summer but maybe one day I'll be able to travel around like you do pete, keep up the amazing videos and much love #savesportquads❤🔥
Holey shit what an AWESOME park. I need to get down there. That looks like soooo much fun. If that doesn’t convince someone to pick a quad over a SxS I don’t know what would??
I automatically followed you when you said hopefully youll encourage someone to NOT buy a SXS . Man this statement i love. And i wish SXS never did exist.
Wishing SXS never existed is a bit of an over the top statement. It’s all just completely different types of riding. If I want to be really connected and really fast, I’ll ride my dirt bike, if I want to be less connected and still pretty fast, I’ll ride an ATV, if I don’t care about connection or I don’t want to go fast, maybe I want to rock crawl, I’ll ride my sxs
was it from the same trip? I know they ride there quite often and we didn't really cross paths with many machines our whole trip since it was during the weekdays.
Better Turn your overdrive off or tow haul mode on . I hear Lots of downshifting with that gasser pulling an enclosed. Going to burn up the trans, or if you can manually shift don’t use your top gear. Nothing worse than losing a Trans out of town when going riding…😢
Hey man, thanks for watching my videos! One of our favorite trail systems is Spider Lake. The trails have steady elevation changes with big sweeping corners and tons of jumps littered throughout the trail. I’ve made several videos showcasing the area. If you want to explore more class 1 style trails, that are more technical with rocks and water crossings, than Namadji is a really cool trail net work. Down in the southeastern part of the state you can try snake creek which has some lengthy climbs up the huge bluffs and a fair amount of technical terrain. It can be pretty rocky in spots. West Central MN had Appleton ATV park which is playground, free for all style riding. I’ve made the most videos at that park and it’s a little haven for sport quads. Some additional trails I’ve made videos at are General CC Andrews (North Central) and Chatfield which is in the southeast. There’s plenty more to explore yet. I put together a video on the Round River trail last summer which was super fun with lots of high speeds. All these trails require state registration. They should have temporary tags available online too if you’re just visiting. 👍
@@txassassin3614 For sure. You're question made me realized I could probably make a video sharing our favorite trails in the state that I've ridden lol
@@PeteHager hell yeah brother glad i could give an idea for some new content ive ridden at dyracuse up in the dells here in Wisconsin and over at rocky glen i bought some go pros watching your videos inspired me to start doing content creation don’t have much footage hopefully i can get some more soon i also have a raptor 700 as well haven’t moded it yet my first quad as well its fun.
What trail was that hill top view point off of. A group of my buddies and I are going out to CAW soon and definitely want to get a group photo up there
Been watching your videos for a couple years! Loved watching this video Pete! I’d love to take my 400 ex here! Out of curiosity, what was everyone running for tire pressures?
Just unplugging the TPS and plugging it back in seemed to fix the issue. Its ran great ever since then. I hope to put together the last video from little Sahara soon 👍
Pete what tire pressures do u run for the trail riding? Raptor and yfz thanks. I ride similar type trails in North Alabama, so. Tenn and have a 05 yfz and 10 raptor just curious what other riders run for pressure. Long live sport quads
i tried going on a group ride with a bunch of my buddies who DONT race they just ride for fun . well me being the only racer i couldnt ride around in 2nd gear and stop every 5 mins to help people over a log . so i told everybody i had to take a crap and went out on my own 🤣🤣
We sell a full line DRW poly protective parts for the Z400. Rossier also sells their R5 exhaust for the Z. Urmosi’s SBC clamps would work too if you ran an aftermarket steering stem for it. I know lonestar racing still makes quite a few parts for the Z too 👍
Pete your at my favorite place to ride when I had my 700 but I will have me a new one next month and I'm from s.c so you guys ride safe god bless you guys 🙏🏻
only good sport quad youtuber and keeping sport quads alive

I swear 400 ex 's are the goat of trail sport machines . They make it look so effortless
You’ve never been on a raptor then 😂
400ex
@@AbbottM72 drove a 90 ,250 ,350,450, and test rode a 700 when I worked for a yamaha dealership.. I still prefer 400ex . Nice try fanboy
I like my 400 ex it’s currently getting worked on o would do it my self but not so mechanically enclined
Heck yeah! What a week this was, can’t wait for the badlands bash I’m itching for a group ride like this again!

Damn!! You really outdid yourselves this time. The whole ride was gnarly as hell, that trailer full of quads, and the subtle jab at sxs. Perfection 💪💪
Going here next weekend! so pumped, Glad I get to see your experience here first!
Pete, i just want to say Thank You!!
4:50 Pete you have definitely done that for me now I want a sport quad so bad you content makes me excited for the day I get one👍

Hey Pete what made you wanna sell the yfz? Seems like yesterday I just watched you 3 heat cycled broke it in lol
I am curious as well. I was not expecting to see the yfz getting sold. Is another quad taking its place?
You should plan a trip or weekend to Windrock off road park here in East TN.
