Actually, I think that "Thomas" note appears twice, regardless of the video. The first one is at 1:01, and again at 1:13. I'm not 100% convinced the audio and video truly match up. It's still a good "fun" video though.
Very clever! And speaking as a music teacher, very annoying. I will grit my teeth nevertheless, and play it for my students because they'll love it. Thank you.
I am having a very bad week, spending 12 hours a day in hospital at my mother's bedside. And this is the antidote I needed. Glorious! Insane as well, but mainly glorious! Thanks. :-)
My theory teacher shared this today to "Inspire us at the end of the year." The guy next to me pulled out his phone, turned on the flashlight, and started waving it slowly. Truly Inspirational.
OK, I know that it's possible to cobble something like this together without putting out a lot of effort but it cheers the hell out of me to think that some wonderful maniac went out to sample all these horns and then spent an enormous amount of time editing it together just to brighten my day.
Well, the person who went out to sample the horns was me in fact! Unfortunately the creator who put this together did so without crediting any of my footage. The original video is ruclips.net/video/3YJewEC-NWo/видео.html
Rob Paravonian: "So then I thought, I'll move to the Czech Republic. No way Pachelbel will follow me all the way there! And then I get to the train station in Prague and da, da da da, da da da, da da da da da da da, da, da da da...dahhhh!!!"
I'm afraid I must take credit for most of the video footage itself (not the remixing into Pachelbel though), it was used without my permission nor credit in this video. However, I decided against reporting the video for copyright infringement as it seems to be bringing joy to a lot of people so will live and let live. My original video - ruclips.net/video/3YJewEC-NWo/видео.html
This is so brilliant and so much skill involved in the editing. Even if I had all the train footage presented to me, it would take me more than 100 years to put together a video like this. I am awe struck.
Famously Satyajit Ray of world cinema had surprised many musicologists by gifting original classical strains by simply reversing some Western compositions. This was his way of finding musical backgrounds to some of his movie scenes. From the cognoscenti reflect back on the hams like us who fiddle or blow with trumpets, flutes mouth-organs,the favorite temple drums, tabla and harmonium.Probably these unmusical voyages were rocked back to an enforced silence following the seniors and troubled neighbours' admonitions .We never got to our Eureka moments, perhaps. That said when one listens to this montage of train horns even an untrained ear can sense a design and sonic pattern - the unusual musical arrangement of " sa re ga ma pa".
Thank you for this perfect antidote to a tedious journey out to the limits of Zone 6 off-peak (when all of the Metropolitan line trains are stoppers and the Jubilee line sounds like the Gates of Hell).
This is amazing, you beautiful mad genius. Also, I love that post-Soviet electric train infrastructure. They contained GM's "dieselization" mania very well, if nothing else.
Plenty of lines in Europe are electrified, oil based fuels were always expensive here, yet coal is still abundant so ti made sense to burn it in thermal power plants and run trains on electricity. On the other hand electric railways have other problems, especially 3kV DC system that can be knocked out of service by ice build up on wires.
Could you please provide some credit to my channel seeing as around 90% of the videos/audio in this video were taken, without permission, from my own train horn video? I did wonder whether to report this video but the time and effort that you have spent in remixing this would go to waste if I did so hence deciding not to report this video. The link to the original video is: ruclips.net/video/3YJewEC-NWo/видео.html
I appreciate your generosity in letting this video stay up, despite it's use of your work without crediting you because I really like Pavel Jirásek's tune. I was also really glad to watch your video, as I had assumed Mr. Jirásek had used autotune, but now I think all the different notes might actually be the real horns of the trains!
Pavel should credit your footage. Glad to see the original, as confirms that he superimposed different horn sounds on your clips. Creative video though!
ACETrainsUK Just watched your footage. You DEFINITELY should have been credited… I mean, how hard is it? That was unfair & rude. Nice job you did with the footage, that was a lot of time & effort. You’re appreciated. ✌️
Brilliant and painful at the same time.
🤟🏻😎 Hell yes !
The don't make a train version of Auto-Tune?
@@TheFountaineer 😂😂😂
@@TheFountaineer yes, it's called Loco-Tune 😉
Yes.
I heard an grade school performance of this piece once that sounded almost exactly like this.
I have to assess 60 14 year olds playing it this week! Shall I show them this before or after the assessment (If trains can do it....)?
Was that performed by my 6th grade orchestra class?
💀
Savage
Impressive what humans can do when you TRAIN them
What people don't realise is the trains actually put this together themselves, with no human help.
Love the image of locomotives huddled around the computer, editing.
Like the Singing Dogs did Jingle Bells? :D
Chuggington
This has now been verified.
How long do you think they ...trained? >_>
Love this. especially as Thomas the train is included for only one note that they evidentally could not record from actual train horns.
Had to use Thomas to get in that high note! My favourite part! 😂😂😂
Actually, I think that "Thomas" note appears twice, regardless of the video. The first one is at 1:01, and again at 1:13. I'm not 100% convinced the audio and video truly match up. It's still a good "fun" video though.
Thomas the Tank Engine.
Might be the Thomas train used an actual train?
Of course they didn't record every single note. They are pitch matched to the tune. Some of the notes are audibly pitched. Still funny though
I consider it unfair that I can only like this once.
I consider it unfair that there is no like scale in order to like this above all other likes.
You have to be a hardened Railfan for that, it's cool!!
Willoughby Chase I’m happy to donate my Like to you 👍 There ya go 😊✌️
Ta very much :)
Willoughby Chase 😂✌️
Sublime. If you have the perfect pitch, you can begin to understand what it feels like to travel with Czech Railways.
This should be the national anthem of Czech train spotters... Laughed and cried from the brilliance and pain. Great work.
They already have one: watch?v=PskbLrKAJQE
Very clever! And speaking as a music teacher, very annoying. I will grit my teeth nevertheless, and play it for my students because they'll love it. Thank you.

The internet can retire now. It has achieved its apotheosis.
That's what you think.... I'm a vegetarian, this has inspired me to make my own version !

Considerably easier to listen to than adjudicating at a junior bagpipe competition.
Harsh!........ but unfortunately true.....

Thomas at 1:01 is hilarious 😂😂😂
At which point I lost it 😂😂😂
The final brilliant stroke to an insane video :)
@@qraji1 Me too!!!

Classically trained, with no conductor. I like the track.
criminally underrated comment

Some people have too much time on their hands. Fortunately. Quality bit of silliness.

So wonderfully insane. God love you.

hahaha I lost it when Thomas popped int and went, "BOOOOP"
I walked down the aisle to this song, then we took our honeymoon in Prague. This song may be more beautiful than both of those things.
This might actually be my favourite video ever 🎉
