Hello lovely couple. Love this documentary of fire museum. Those fire trucks must be worth a fortune, they're so unique. Your oldies music is perfect for this video.
You are correct, Rich does love it LOL Not sure how I missed this one, haven't seen any notifications from you two when a while and I figured it was just because of everything that is going on, so I checked just in case and found I did miss one. When I was younger I was a volunteer, the same Department my grandfather, father uncle and all were in. We had a 1925 or 26 American LaFrance that my dad and a couple other guys found in a field in Upstate New York back in the 80s. Eventually at the barn it would kept in collapsed on it, so they sent it out to get everything repainted. The guy doing it was doing it for free so over the next probably 15 years he sent it back piece by piece. We put it together many years ago and it is absolutely beautiful now. I want to get back up there at some point this summer in film that as well as the 1951 Mack they have. The Mac was one of the original fire trucks at that station but they bought it from the town. Both trucks are now fully refurbished and painted to the original colors with the original lights and Sirens back on them. I grew up riding around to different fire conventions in those trucks, what a great time it was. One thing interesting about the American LaFrance is it had a hand crank siren mounted on the dash but also the original siren it was equipped with is a foot pedal with a bunch of mechanical linkage that would twist a wheel to contact the engine flywheel could actually spin the siren, so cool!!
Holy Smokes!!! The Firetruck simulator was sooo cool!! This place was really amazing and it was so interesting to see all of the different looking engines. Tim enjoyed this one as well and wanted you to know that he was waving to you guys from the plane when we flew into North Carolina last weekend (layover... lol). Thank you for bringing us here! Funny and punny too!!
Holy Smokes ~LOL! Good one! We fully enjoyed seeing and sharing this place too. Seeing the elaborate gold-leafing designs on most of the older apparatus blew us away. As always, thank you for your comment and supporting us!
I have a lot of respect for firefighters they are real heros. They fight fights and save lives. Super cool museum.👍
Rut Moe we totally agree! Thanks for your comment and joining us at the Fire Museum!
