I'm using 3mm braided cord. I've finished the bag and it's much smaller than the picture on this video. It measures about 19cm (8 inches) square. I like it but it's more the size of a phone bag.

Hello ..I made this bag this summer in normal macrame cotton and I use 28 cords and come out a really nice bag for my fone a purse and tissues I advise also use more length like 4 metres for a nice ending...I'm going to do other for a Christmas present for a friend I will try with 30 cords /4metres ....hope this helps...
