Huge thank you to NordVPN for sponsoring this video! (and for being my first RUclips sponsor!! 🎉) If you want to try out NordVPN for yourselves make sure to use my link! NordVPN.com/fromscratchbaker Enjoy!
Please, don't start with lying about VPNs... they don't protect anyone. ruclips.net/video/WVDQEoe6ZWY/видео.html There are a lot of good reasons, like watching shows, buying plane ticket for cheaper, bypass authoritarian government firewalls... data harvesting is definitely not blocked by a VPN, it does nothing to protect anyone.
Your videos have a uniquely calming effect on me, likely due to the soothing tone of your voice and the overall mood you create. Even the specific subject matter seems secondary to the sense of relaxation I experience. I often turn to your content when I need to unwind, and I genuinely appreciate the comfort they provide.
Sometimes, little gadgets that just put a smile on your face are worth it for that alone. Yeah, they may not be necessary... But I'll readily admit I giggled when I saw the sponge holder. I'd gladly buy one of those!
For the cake pop travesty: I worked in a kitchen that would trim a lot of the same cake (because why just be good when you can be fancy and over the top?). They used something like this with the cuttings rather than making something to use with it. They served it to any kids that came in as it was a lot less cake than the menu version. But yes that was way to big.
Stroke survivor (1 working arm) with jar opener advice. Get your mom an under cabinet jar opener for about 5-10$ usd, kind of a V of metal teeth that mount under the cabinet. Every single person I've given one to since I got mine raves about how much they love it... Plus it's always right there not cluttering your drawers. Elyse newland has a pair of good videos on adaptive equipment for one handed cooking, some of it's guaranteed to be more useful than a lot of these :D I have that last chopper thing though & know why it failed you, do smaller chunks (ie 1/4 onion size not half) & it does a good job but definitely niche utility
The unicorn was so cute tho!! And so what some sprinkles got everywhere, it's just a bit of magic in your day! (but don't let them sit or you'll be inviting and feeding unwanted pests) Great video as always!
not alice making scrambled eggs in a one-egg pan 😭 the ideal use for that pan is either a homemade egg mcmuffin or what my mom calls "egg on cheese & toast." pretty much what it says on the tin. the jist is that the pan keeps the egg from spreading out a bunch and keeps it a nice circular shape for placing on toast, english muffins, bagels, hamburgers... (edit: you can do sunny-side up eggs in that pan, just don't try and flip it without a spatula) if you ever do another one of these, i'd like to see you try some kitchen gadget baking hacks! like did you know you can use a milk frother to beat eggs?
I have a tiny one-egg sized pan and I use it every day. It is perfect for making an egg for a breakfast sandwich - and most of the time I don't even break the yolk when flipping it.
you doing the wrong job if you need to watch tutorials as an sysAdmin. how did you end up there? told chatGPT to write an job-application for you? then stop working and tell ChatGPT it should do the job for you because you proofing you have no idea what you doing.
Beautiful, talented, smart, funny, and a great personality! She’s strong. She took on an incredible stressful medical condition, and came out on top. This girl gives me hope that there are those in the younger generation who can succeed. Great content, Alice. Keep it up.😎👍👌
My mom had one of those scissor-type sphere-making things. She used it to make meatballs. Honestly, I’ve never understood “cake pops” from the consumer pov. I assume bakeries started offering them as a way to make money off of leftover bits of cake that would otherwise be thrown out, so it makes sense to me from the vendor pov. But I would never choose dismantled and re-congealed cake over fluffy fresh cake!
Omg that is such a brilliant idea! I just ordered some from Amazon and was trying to figure out a way to justify my purchase (to myself the hunde doesn't care what I buy) and them having more that one use makes me feel better. ❤ danke shöen 😊
Really fun video! OXO Good Grips has an even better bar opener. It doesn’t limit you to specific sizes and it has a non-slip pad you can put the jar on for greater stability.
The gadget to close crisp packets really just is a battery powered hair straightener... Just a small heating element that melts the plastic of the bag. They work nicely usually... However, what's the point? How often do you stop eating a bag of crisps and put them away anyway? 😂
Love to see your dry sense of humor in a long form video! I would never judge a potato, It's the most versatile vegetable imho. I'd say the crinkle cutter is a tool, not a gadget. Very useful if you want to make a fancy looking dinner. Oh, and please have a look at your audio, it's way off. I had my finger at the mute button in case an ad would start playing (didn't happen, luckily).
TLDR; Nice. It's great to see you do a skit about weird kitchen gadgets. Oh wait, it's not a skit? OK. Man, I have never seen an oven with so many knobs on it as that one. I doubt even a space rocket has that many knobs. Cool gadgets though, I can't seem them wining any awards at the kitchen gadget award show (if there is such a thing!) The "Oh my god it's mouldy," got me. And well, if that doesn't prove she is a professional chef, nothing will! Mouldy stuff in the kitchen is a perfect sign of a professional baker. That jar opener is handy. Works better than any man and won't steal the covers off you in bed. Looking forward to the next video of weird kitchen gadgets.
I hold a personal grudge against everything I'm sensitive/allergic to. I'm impressed by your ability to just accept that eggs are a part of life... I was going to ask how you're a baker if you're allergic to eggs, but people who are allergic to eggs aren't usually allergic to every animal egg and I guess it would be easy enough to taste test a recipe with a substitute.
Ha! I like getting silly gadgets from my local kitchen goods store. The last one, that I figured would be a cheap laugh, was a mango de-seeder. I was fully prepared to throw it in the bin after one use but-the dang thing worked. It worked *_perfectly_* every time. Honestly, most of the cutting gadgets (except a mandolin) are basically useless. Learn to use a kitchen knife (watch youtube tutorials) and you will be 1000% better off.
If Alice has an extra tray of unfrosted chocolate cupcakes she is always welcome to email them to me (frosting not good for computer chips) ... email is very quick and cupcakes look yummy! 😋
I've loved your interpretation of nordvpn that I'll subscribe 😹 Also, was you who chose the ad in the middle of RUclips? You know you are Irish and put an ad with Liam Neeson on ?
Your poor cupcakes 😢 So sad I think large commercial bakeries do the "cake pop thing" with the scraps leftover from leveling/carving cakes and while I'm all for less food waste and selling scraps to bougie toffs at a premium price i don't think you're meant to ruin your perfect cupcakes to make them. ❤❤❤❤
Well, to boil an egg you put it in cold water with water that's taller than the egg (so it won't crush itself while boiling). You need cold water, otherwise the egg will pop. You wait until the water is boiling, and take them out after 3-4 minutes if you want it soft, or 7 minute if you want it hard, 9+ minutes if you want it super-hard.

I thought ur hair was pink for the longest time
Are you really deleting comments only because expose the lies of you sponsor? How much do they pay for your integrity?
I love your hair. It looks really good when it's down
loved how you gradually went from 5-score to the 10 point system
I gotta say, these longer form videos are very fun to watch! And go you for getting a sponsor! The cookie segue made me laugh.
“Is the hat too much? Hmmm…yeah-“
I love that >:DD
How dare RUclips hide this from me for nine minutes
Apparently I wasn't subscribed on this account 😭
@@Definetlynothuman You needed a reminder, you got it. 😊
So nice to see an extended video of you. And, as usual, your lovely humor was excellent. Great editing, too. Thanks!
11:33 This is a Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher. Greetings from Germany.
lol i just saw a youtube short the other day from a german guy explaining this gadget and now i want one!
Thanks
Das ist die korrekte Bezeichnung.

I audibly sighed at how stupid the sponge holder was, but I kinda want one now. It's so silly, but so amazing
Laughed when I saw it but wouldn't buy one.
No, no, no, the hat is perfection! The giggles are a 10!
More long form content please 🙏🏾
2 points, love the chefs hat, your Nord intro and explanation is about the best plug i have seen on You tube
"my cupcakes!" 😆
first thing came into my mind was: "whats wrong about cupcakes? why waste totally fine cupcakes to make cake-pops?"
Watching you be excited by little things has made my day! Thank you thank you thank you.
the egg slander in this video was hilarious

Yes, but you should use rainbow sprinkles. It's a unicorn, and as we all know...

Playing with gadgets is one of life's delights. Watching you play with them is a very close second.
11:36 in Germany we say „Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher“. And I think it’s a beautiful word
I like the wavy cut for fries and the bottle/jar opener. The pot holder was cute
😊
Your personality is magnificent!
Thank you for brightening the day 🌈🤍
Beautiful, talented, smart, funny, and a great personality! She’s strong. She took on an incredible stressful medical condition, and came out on top. This girl gives me hope that there are those in the younger generation who can succeed. Great content, Alice. Keep it up.😎👍👌
Seeing the egg-topper made me smile, I have a similar one (the bell is dropped onto the egg) and it's ace!
My mom had one of those scissor-type sphere-making things. She used it to make meatballs.

Moldy jam and green potatoes where are you filming this? Are you cleaning out my cold room?
(a cold room is like a root cellar in Northern Canada but it's in your basement and has concrete walls in case cold room was a weird term, sorry)
Really fun video!
OXO Good Grips has an even better bar opener. It doesn’t limit you to specific sizes and it has a non-slip pad you can put the jar on for greater stability.

5:28 this honestly looks like a torture device, I don't how it could be used to torture someone, but I wouldn't want it near me.
The spongebob spong holder 😂
Please do more of these 🙏Loved every second of it!
Love to see your dry sense of humor in a long form video!
I would never judge a potato, It's the most versatile vegetable imho.
I'd say the crinkle cutter is a tool, not a gadget. Very useful if you want to make a fancy looking dinner.

You had some very strong "my cabbages!" energy there❤
9:37 You know that they need your address in order to send you cookies. That must be the reason why they need your personal information. 😊
ive seen some use the "cake pop" gadget as a bath bomb maker and I think thats its ideal purpose since its that big
I have a small cast iron pan, it was not marketed towards egg, but it makes amazing egg cakes!
Nice pajama pants. Also those gloves in the end are the cutest thing ever.
You could put the bottle caps on glass olive oil bottles?

We have similar hair type and I’ve always wondered how you get your curls so neat! If you ever feel like it please give your routine !💚🌄
the unicorn sprinkle shaker was so cute tho lol
So excited for long form content from you, Alice!! 💛 your hair looks so cute btw
Alice being adorable for 14 minutes
I feel the same with you on cupcakes, except it’s with my breads.
I think I want a GNUZMAZ microwave.
We don't potato shame on this channel.
I loved the little carrot!🥕🥕🥕 Love your hair too!
Next time you make a cupcake you're really proud of, you should take a picture of and have it made into a canvas 😄
I saw the thumbnail and was so invested into the paw gloves and then saw the 0/10😭
Edit: They are 10/10? OMG🥳
When she said “it sounds like my hair straightener” I was scared she was gonna test it out cause that’s 1000% what I would do 😂
Love these longer videos. Just wondering if you have PO box to send you even more gadgets for you to test? 🇬🇧
Does the spongebob holder has holes to let the sponge dry?
Confusing when in the middle of the video you switch from a 5 to 10 scale. XD
you kinda remind me of old nerdy nummies. Love your stuff!
12:14 to cook a boiled egg you need to boil water then add the egg
Thank you for posting this! I love watching your videos, and you always make my day!
Ha! I like getting silly gadgets from my local kitchen goods store. The last one, that I figured would be a cheap laugh, was a mango de-seeder. I was fully prepared to throw it in the bin after one use but-the dang thing worked. It worked *_perfectly_* every time.

Love the curly hairstyle
None of these were earth shattering and many look either only slightly or not at all useful but the video was highly entertaining. More please.
I need that carrot it's so cutee >v<
Also yeah...I knew so many things as a kid that I'm not able to do now TT
Omg I hate eggs too
Your potato made lovely, perfect crinkle cut chips..... Chip.
super fun! love the long-form video
Thank you Alice, you sacrificed your precious cupcakes for us 🫡❤️
i loved the chef hat on you!
I (in Europe) didn’t know that the bottle cap was non detachable on purpose !
They’ve been annoying me for weeks ! I cut them off 😂
Eggs, onion and burnt rubber - now I'm hungry ^^
I'm glad Alice doesn't drink alcohol. Way to break the Irish stereotype. #staysober and bake on.
If Alice has an extra tray of unfrosted chocolate cupcakes she is always welcome to email them to me (frosting not good for computer chips) ... email is very quick and cupcakes look yummy! 😋
Traumatic music intensifies...
RIP Cupcakes..
❤ "I had a bit of an aneurysm"!!!
Fun video. Can you be allergic to eggs and open them and smell them and cook them? Most things people are allergic to they can't touch or be around.
re: the Unicorn shaker... funnels are a thing.😀
I have a silicone thingy that makes mini omelets and it’s very good and it goes into the microwave
Wow you're such a weed, but very lovable too. Great vid :)
Is it for baked goods?!
I LOVE YOU ALICE SO PRETTY
A baker who's allergic to eggs. That's rough.
You're Irish and you don't drink? J/K. Good for you. I love your content. It's very ... you.
I think that's a repurposed snowball maker. Isn't there a device like that for snowballs?
Wait, is that your actual hair? It's magnificent
No one saw that egg flip. Nope , didn’t see anything …. 🤔😊
I've loved your interpretation of nordvpn that I'll subscribe 😹
Also, was you who chose the ad in the middle of RUclips? You know you are Irish and put an ad with Liam Neeson on ?
New hair ... looks good
You're thhhhweet 🥰 I give you a 🧽🧽🧽🧽🧽/5 😊
For the onion cutter, you can use water pressure to take the onion off
That last one is good, you just gotta be fast and strong.
I would give all the cute ones a 5 just because they make me smile
Your poor cupcakes 😢
So sad
I think large commercial bakeries do the "cake pop thing" with the scraps leftover from leveling/carving cakes and while I'm all for less food waste and selling scraps to bougie toffs at a premium price i don't think you're meant to ruin your perfect cupcakes to make them. ❤❤❤❤
I did a serious double take when you mentioned the tumor... are you alright now? D:
Please be alright now!
It looks like an ostrich egg!! 😂
Cake pops make my soul hurt
Nooo! Your cupcakes!
34 minutes earliest ever!
Cake ball gadget looks more like something a gynecologist would use.
Well, to boil an egg you put it in cold water with water that's taller than the egg (so it won't crush itself while boiling). You need cold water, otherwise the egg will pop.

An Irish girl that doesn’t drink⁉️ 😳
Very fun watch but you changed your rating scale a few times which confused me lolol
