Thank you for posting this wonderful performance of this masterpiece from Saint-Saens. I loved the sense of rubato throughout, and the special joy in the third movement! Clearly everyone was having a grand time, swept along by this terrific concerto!

Great pianist! Lovely musicality. Pity we don't see his fingers playing in much of the 3rd movement - camera work leaves much to be desired, cutting away from the important piano bits and then even from the orchestra sololist onto random shots??

The second movement could appear as something entirely new (at least in SS' throughput) when it was written, but nowadays it may appear a bit too long .. nevertheless, it is an excellent concerto and Chamayou is an outstanding pianist when rendering it
