When he released Burial (the album) piracy for indie/underground artists wasn't anywhere near as rampant as it is now and the sheer uniqueness of the sound would've also encouraged many people to just outright buy it rather than going through the hassle of trawling Limewire/Frostwire trying to find decent copies of it....if they were even there. It wouldn't be a stretch to suggest he made at least low-mid 6 figures on his first 2 albums/numerous ep's since and as long as he didn't live like an idiot, he could invest a decent chunk of that and continue to make tunes on the side.
as a musician/producer you dont only sell to private persons. especially companies like ad-companies, tv-companies or other music producers HAVE to buy burial music (music licences) if they want to use it in their legal way.

Burial is one of the few, very few forms of music that you feel and feel hard, that you don't dance to. There are several "club" mixes that are danceable. But, dancing was never the purpose of Burials sound. Listen to it alone, that's when it hits the hardest. :)
@TeamAcXa i was there with some guys and they really enjoyed too, we are Burial hardcore fans and enjoyin a perfect session with nearly two thousand people dancing was a great moment for us
