no music has amazed me lately as the Burial stuff, i'm middle aged and not easily impressible, i discovered it just a few months ago, and i can't stop listening to it, thanks for posting..
I've been listening to Truant for years now; ever since graduating high school when this first released. However, last year I visited London - went to a few gigs, but a highlight was Hessle Audio at Printworks. Man, was that an experience - it definitely opened my eyes to something new. I also went to a really nice and quaint jukey/footwork/grime party at a bar in Peckham. I also went to Berlin, ended up at Tresor, made it to Berghain, and saw the Overmono Berlin show. It inspired me to dig through records a lot more, spending more time researching tracks, and really spend time exploring new sounds and gave me more time to understand what was coming out of all the collective London scenes. Starting lurking through Rhythm Section, Hemlock, Hessle, Houndstooth, R&S and a few smaller of the more dubplate-y labels. I came back to this track because I hadn't listened to Burial in a while in general. The first track was Truant. Afte visiting Europe, experiencing these sounds live + spending the time to research, I was able to appreciate Truant and Burial a lot more. Why Burial did what he did to produce Truant? What was he exposed to around that time? I mean, just listen to the last quarter of Truant, the last minute of Rough Sleeper, and try tell me that it doesn't sound like a Burial lens on dubstep as an experience? Such a beautiful release overall and will always come back to this.
the first burial song i heard was untrue, and i honestly was laughing about it. but in some time i liked it, because of these random sounds and the voice and that clicks sound being not in the beat. tho other ones are feeling depressive/slow. not sure if i like these
Burial is kind of like a metronome that acts to stabilize my mind as deluge i am swung around thru the ends of the sanity archs of my mind, .... to instead chose to Thrive On, anyway
I own pretty much all of Burial's work on vinyl... I kinda wish he hadn't added all the damn pops and clicks into his tracks, because now I gotta keep the friggin records spotless to avoid double, tripple, pops and clicks in the song... The mastering/compression is so much warmer though on his vinyl releases since there is a natural imposed limit to it all. (where the stylus will jump out of the groove)
Hi man, Burial is amazing. Can I ask you one thing? That turntable is a Numark TT USB, right? Is it good for you? Are you satisfy? Do you use usb or you connect it to a pre amp? Sorry for the question, I want to buy one turntable and I don't know which.
Its not the TT USB! Its the TT1650. Yes, I'm really satisfied! I changed the needle for an ortofon (not a bad needle the Numark one though). I have one DJPRE II preamp, but for this video I only used the soundcard as preamp (Phase X64 usb). Sorry for late response!
Uranio Boy Ah ok, it seems the same! Just one thing: do you think The Numark TTUSB which I want has a decent built in pre amp or I should buy a pre amp on my own?
Giuseppe Giz Where are you going to connect the Numark USB? I suggest you a preamp like the DJ Art (not so expensive) to have a better sound quality, but if you have some good amps, it can sound good too! You can begin without a preamp without problems, and buy one later to have better sound ;)!
Uranio Boy Thank you man, because now I don't have a pre amp. If I connect the usb to the computer and the rca to my monitor audio, I hear something, right?
Burial quickly becoming one of my favorite artists of all time.
*smiles* 64 years old with a lot of awesome music under my belt. been saying this since 2006. William is unmatched, unbeatable!

So basically random samples from youtube -> soundforge -> vinyl -> youtube again ?
💻💻💻💻
Sounds totally different 😅

This would go good with some DMT.
No. Maybe some changa. DMT provides its own music.
Nothing is needed with Burial
Un true you’re missing out
'my son' get back to creating music that carves up hearts an minds, not much happening these days. It's almost 2019.
