i dont think so because i believe the 2016 corolla has a traditional floater system . You can try it but i only know this works for the newer corollas and prius.
yeah sorry to hear that. its easy to get the sending unit out of a corolla its under the passenger seat in the back you need to remove the sitting cushion. the main plastic screw cap is tight though. you can try to play with the float part but most times if the float doesnt work you need to replace the whole unit.
@@hachiback6018 Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it! I don’t think the unit itself is the issue. All of my needles are slightly misaligned. I had to replace a broken front plastic, and a friend helped with the installation, but in the process, the needles got a bit off and now need realignment. I’d rather not have him attempt to fix it again and risk further issues, haha. Everything was working fine before the front plastic was replaced.
@@majidheidarystories yeah it will happen from time to time. It happened to me twice in 5 years. I was freaked out the first time. But glad I could help. Oh and I hope you were on a full tank when you did it otherwise you will have to fill up and do it again.
i dont think this is going to work on that year model. what you would need to do is probably replace the fuel sending unit in the gas tank. but before doing that make sure you check the voltage coming into the fuel sending unit make sure its getting power. the fuel sending unit on the year of car should be under the rear passenger seat. they sell whole fuel sending units at like napa. if you can spend the money and try to find a denso unit. you will need some super large channel lock pliers to do this job but its pretty easy. and make sure your gas is on the mid tank to 1/4 amount of gas otherwise you will have a fun day fishing in a pond of gas.
