My mother is from Portugal and my barber João is from São Vicente and I understand everything he says when he’s speaking creole to his other clients.
@@DAVEJJR you can understand but the name is Caboverdian Creole, not Portuguese caboverdian! It’s a dialect from the group of papiamento.
The fact that you understand doesn’t change the language.
Caboverdian creole is portuguese based but it’s not the same language as Haitian Creole is not French.
I am caboverdian for real and I know my history and speak both Portuguese and Creole.
I don’t understand why lately everything from Cabo Verde it’s saying to be from Portugal.
